✵ CR MEME: MAY 2022 ✵

Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. We have a handy dandy form so go forth, tell us about yourself and your characters, and start plotting! You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond! Continuing or using things from the recent TDM.

Character: General Nuadha | burnttoashes
Canon: Tales of the Rays, Chapter 16 of Last Cradle (the current story arc) ~~because I love mess~~

About: The dead crown prince of a destroyed kingdom, brought back to life (in a sense) and put into the body of the very person whose assassination he ordered (and whose death touched off the war that led to the destruction of most of their world)... look it's a long story and a good amount of it is, in fact, his fault.

Nuadha is very jaded and fatalistic/pessimistic after everything he's been through and very steadfast in thinking of himself as being dead. Slowly, though, his little sister and best friend seem to be breaking through to him, and he's gotten a little more willing to openly show people that he cares, albeit in an extremely tsundere fashion. Deep down he's a decent person who is trying his best, he's just... very, very bad at it.

Abilities: Aside from the standard Tales game swordsman stuff, Nuadha is a mirrist, which is sort of like the Tales of the Rays version of a mage! His most notable mirristry ability is exoflection, which is pretty similar to what dreamotion can do: he can create small objects out of nothing. For now I plan on having him try to use dreamotion to amplify his exoflection (which has been powered down here) in an attempt to get it back to his normal level of power; I'll probably have him work on developing some other abilities once he gets a better handle on it.
Dreamwalker Form: Nuadha's dreamwalking form is his original body! People are free to notice that he's wearing the same outfit and recognize him that way, but canonically his voice is completely different.

Plans: I'd like to get him settled back in and find some things he can contribute to in a meaningful way! I'm definitely eying that mini player plot because he met Rob on the TDM so that would be a glorious disaster in all the best ways. I also plan to have him menaced by owls because look the idea of him being begrudgingly covered in flowery owls is hilarious, okay. I'm potentially interested in the Giant Flower Jungle and Fae Moon Mirror quests if anyone would want to up for those!

CR Dreams: Nuadha is definitely the prickly sort but he tends to get along pretty well with military sorts and fellow leaders/royalty, and people he can spar with/talk combat shop with would also be pretty high up on the list of "people he might actually enjoy talking to." What I would enjoy (Nuadha himself may feel otherwise) would be people who are just relentlessly cheerful and friendly to him and won't let him be a constant grouch! He also does have a younger sister so he has a bit of a protective instinct towards people who remind him of her, which will also likely trigger tsundere mode to a certain degree. Negative CR is also always a possibility if you'd like to go that route because he can definitely be a jerk sometimes, both intentionally and unintentionally.

Etc.: I may be a little slower on tags through next week because RNG has decreed that I'm not allowed to die in murdergames and the one I am currently in ends next weekend!

Character: Gina Lestrade | lestray
Canon: The Great Ace Attorney

About: Gina's a former pickpocket who has been learning to be an inspector. She can be quite fiery, easily annoyed but also finding joy in simple things. She can also have trust issues with others and can be insecure about seeming to be vulernable, although she's relatively more open than she used to be. She's also working on getting more educated, as she has much more street smarts than book smarts. She can also be brash and overconfident, especially in relation to her own detective skills, and she's accompanied by a delightful pup named Toby. Also she speaks in a Cockney accent and may use some rhyming slang when she speaks!

Abilities: She has a mastery of pickpocketing and can be pretty sneaky in general. She also carries around a gas grenade launcher that produces colorful clouds of gas, but the actual ammo can change based on dreamotion energy. Also, her dog Toby has a keen nose and can track by scent.
Dreamwalker Form: It's pretty much subject to change on a dream by dream basis.

Plans: This month, I'm generally open to dream board shenanigans and most of the prompts from the egg event. I'm also always open to some kind of dreamscape adventure because I do love dreamscapes in general and their open-ended nature! (The monster vs. hero from the event seems fun, as does the book tower one just because of Paper Mario vibes) I intend to do some kind of open log eventually, but I may wait for some of my flower festival threads to wind down first.

In general, I want to explore Gina making more CR and starting to extend her circle of trust beyond her canonmates. I also seek to explore more of her issues from canon, such as her trauma and her conflicted feelings about the morality of an important person she lost. And I also seek to work on her growing as a detective and figuring out her path in life. I have also considered that she might start offering detective-like services in general, including offering the use of Toby in finding items/people that are missing or hard to find.

CR Dreams: I'm open to most kinds of CR for her! Friends, found family, mentor figures either of good or bad influences. Other thief-adjacent characters or detectives. Romance would be more of a maybe, and leaning towards girls in her age range. In terms of CR, Gina herself could be a good sister figure and is open to teaching some of her pickpocketing skills to others. In perfectly legal ways! And she can also help out as a detective too, along with Toby's nose!

Canon: Right before he's having a confrontation with Nehan during the Seeds Of Redemption event

About: I have a blurb about him here with more in depth info! Six isn't a character who is fond of getting into conversations or socializing in general. He isn't very good at controlling his dreamotion so at times, shit happens. Despite his bad social skills he tends to be somewhat awkward, especially when someone tries to take his mask off or when he is being caught without wearing said mask. Besides that he is a trustworthy ally when going on a quest and he's strong and definitely able to kick some serious ass.

Abilities: Back in the days he was regarded as the genuis son of the leader of a clan consisting out of assassins (who he has completely wiped out while being a small child). He's strong and quick to learn and when he uses his strength he's an absolutely brutal fighter. I'm still not entirely sure what I want for his in game abilities.

Dreamwalker Form: He's a child in his dreams.

Plans: Basically my plans for him are to open up to others, make friends, find the guts to take off his mask voluntarily because he trusts a person. ~~secretly I would love it for him to find a love interest because it would be delightfully fun to play out~~. I want him to come to terms with his feelings and emotions. He has already made the decision he wants to live and paint a future for himself despite his dark past, yet he has to find out how to do such a thing.

CR Dreams: Because it takes a while for him to warm up to people it might take a little while for CR to establish. What helps are awkward situations, quests, something that requires fights and maybe some hurt/comfort (despite being a bit of a distant person, he is not someone who would leave a wounded ally behind). I am very open to everything.

I enjoyed Lark's TDM thread with Mammon a lot!! Lark has powerful sassy younger brother energy once he gets going and I can foresee him and Lark having some incredibly dumb conversations.
