Character: Herlock Sholmes | thegamesafoot Canon: The Great Ace Attorney, about a month post-TGAA2
About: Herlock Sholmes is a (slightly) more personable, comic relief take on the classic character. He's still very eccentric and nosy, but has a tendency to be a scatterbrained fool, at least when taken at face value. (Profile here)
Abilities: Sholmes is renowned for his (questionable) deductive skills, pioneering forensics techniques, wild imagination and his expertise in chemistry. TBH, I'm STILL working out how his dreamotion/dreamwalking powers may manifest, but I'm leaning towards something appropriately chaotic and questionably useful ... as is his way.
Dreamwalker Form: This is flexible based on the dream. Thus far, he's only changed to a younger self.
Plans:
- Anti-Noctaere Measures - Sholmes has also been engineering some possible anti-Noctaere devices that I would love for him to collab with folks on. The primary design is a Glowing Dawn-based smoke grenade, intended to temporarily stun/subdue a Noctaere (particularly those who are turned Dreamwalkers.) Comboing this with someone's magic or dreamotion would be rad. He also needs help fabricating the grenades themselves and as a stretch goal, a launcher based on Iris' Gina's gun.
Other ideas include tools that help with the detection of nightmare energy levels, residue, etc. All that said, I'm down to have him jam with other enterprising characters looking to make similar goodies.
- Meet a Noctaere! - Sholmes has been chatting with a bunch of folks about Noctaere but has yet to encounter one himself. Does your character have cause to hunt them down? Are they planning on going apeshitt Noctaere? Alternately, I'm happy to hop on a thread dealing with the Erasers in the latest egg post. Maybe combo this with the first bullet and test some prototypes on live specimens?
- Eggs? - Might toss a top level on this event! Warming eggs and/or dealing with Erasers (as mentioned above).
CR Dreams: Always happy to have uneasy or negative CR with Sholmes. Call him out on his shit! He can be a nuisance and a jerk! Alternately, other characters who might enable his reckless behavior.
