Adding to this now that I'm home and no longer on mobile-- Nuadha is absolutely the sort of person who would attempt to utilize the nightmare energy because he has zero self-preservation instincts. Given his canon background I'm inclined to say he'd likely be successful with it, but at the same time his pessimism and determination to think of himself as being dead would also probably put him at higher risk of becoming a noctaere, so that would be a potential weakness as well.
... and editing AGAIN as I realize this might end up being relevant: Nuadha has a dulled sense of pain, meaning he can take more of a beating than the average person and keep on going. He'll still get injured, obviously, it's just a little easier for him to power through stuff and shrug it off... until it all catches up to him. /just looks at the Asteria crossover event Ability and weakness at the same time? Yeah, let's go with that!
