Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. We have a handy dandy form so go forth, tell us about yourself and your characters, and start plotting! You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond! Continuing or using things from the recent TDM.

Shigeru Miyata | Original Character

Character: Shigeru Miyata | mysophobic
Canon: Going undercover at Leuban University

About: Shigeru is a mute mysophobic phrobiest from a world that's similar to Earth but has a lot of differences. Phrobiests are people whose bloodline has been cursed by the felled Dark God Malnemnious and the curse grants those with it powers based on specific phobias. The more phrobiest use their powers the closer they are to losing control and essentially turning into eldritch monsters under Malnemnious' command. Despite all of that Shigeru is pretty happy/chipper and tries to make the most of his situation. He's rather shy due to his phobia/upbringing not really allowing for early socialization when he was younger. Phrobiests are also somewhat shunned by the general populace due to their monstrous origins and overall strange position in the world. They're used to fighting monsters but also become the monsters they wind up fighting, so a lot of people don't exactly want to associate themselves with them.

Shigeru is a healer and was part of a special ops team back home before getting pulled here so his medical training is topnotch and his fighting skills are pretty good as well. He fights with sword and shield and he's basically a huge worrywart for his team. He's also very good at cooking, drawing, and sign language!

Abilities: Healing dreamotion is probably something he's going to focus on for the time being just because using his powers is a bit of a double edge sword. Other than that his own abilities are listed: here for your perusal.

PLANS

General:

Clinic; Would like to do a clinic shenanigans log mostly just Shigeru looking for more healers and giving some first aid training for people who want it. But also decorating the clinic for the holiday seasons, maybe?! At least to make it more inviting on the outside especially.

Cooking; Going to make a network post about different ethnic foods and people's favorite dishes from their world! But having some cooking buddies to bounce ideas/new recipes off of would be nice!

Dream sharing; Definitely want to delve into Shigeru's terrible past?? Thanks to the mirror sheningans of last month Shigeru's nightmares are not...good. So he hasn't been sleeping a lot but if people want to be drawn into a hellish nightmare lmk!

Dream Board:
Power Search; If anyone plans on going out to the Wastelands Shigeru will come along! He's a trained medic and doctor so anything that might happen he can offer heals and fighting too!

Event:
Hot Springs Episode; Mostly will be making a toplevel/prompt for the hotsprings portion of the event. Sfw and Nsfw prompts will be had, if anyone wants the latter hit me up to discuss. Shigeru is a thirsty man even if he's shy but with some of the side effects of the dragon fruits snacks, it might allow him to get over his anxiety and phobias for a little spicy bath time, hehe.

CR Dreams:

1) Nonhumans - people who are cursed are a plus
2) Cooking buddies - people who aren't afraid to experiment with whacky stuff
3) Sparring people?? Maybe people who injure themselves so Shigeru can mother hen them every time they go to the clinic. He will do this and be disapproving of it!
4) Sign language buddies - people willing to learn (I might add an open TL for a private one on one session this time. Feel free to discuss with me and handwave prior sessions if you'd like!)
5) Doctor/Medical types - anyone who wants to learn or knows about medical stuff is always a plus!
6) Wanted but not necessary - I would love to get into a slow burn ship with my doofus here. Since Shigeru is gay it'd be m/m only but like I said it's not a requirement though I would love to play it out.

About:
Alastor is a demon from literal Hell. In life he was a radio broadcaster and serial killer with a penchant for cannibalism. He died and went to Hell, eliminating all of the old Overlords upon arrival. He himself then decided to just let others take the territory and do whatever entertained him...only after nine decades he's gotten pretty bored of Hell.

He likes to screw with people and takes delight in others' suffering. However, he has a warped moral compass that compels him to protect the weak. He's taken to traveling to various people's nightmares with the idea of being entertained. He'll step in when he thinks it's not being fun anymore.

Plans:
General Plans
Alastor is slooooowly working his way towards becoming a guardian though he'd never admit to such a position. He likes hopping from nightmare to nightmare to witness all the fun forms of torment but if someone is weak, he'll step in due to his moral code. He can't be relied upon to save you but as time goes on and he starts to care more, he could at least be counted on to pull people out of jams.

Honestly, he needs more friends. Being the boogeyman of Hell means that he doesn't get much socializing in. Arguably one reason he bargains in souls is to collect people who won't leave him. He's used to having people flee before he can even finish saying "hello". Redemption is a big theme in Hazbin Hotel but it's doubtful that Charlie's more idealistic measures will really work for him. He's lonely but his social skills are hella rusty.

Fair warning though: Alastor picks favorites but he's a pretty amiable (if kinda terrifying) person all around. Once he's decided you're one of his favorites, he'll invade your personal space every opportunity he gets though he won't let you touch him unless it's on his terms. So be prepared to be pulled in for random side-hugs, song-and-dance numbers, and other such nonsense.

Month-Specific Plans
Alastor is going to be working with the good people at the Wild Harvest to host another Thanksgiving feast this year. No, he's not basically indirectly thanking people for helping him return to normal and letting him stay in town despite what a nightmare he was as a noctaere. Perish the thought.

He also has this top-level at the event.

Dream Board Plans
Leprechaun Manhunt
Part of Alastor's MO as a serial killer when he was alive was going after the ones that the law couldn't or wouldn't touch. Someone might want to ride along if only to keep him from showing the leprechauns what he does on a regular basis to the redcaps. (Though he personally wonders if there'd be any differences in flavor.)

All I Want For Christmas Is You
He doesn't know exactly what this Siren is, but he's interested in freeing her to potentially cause chaos just for the fun of it. He died long before Christmas started creeping up to literally the day after Halloween, but his connection to the radio let him hear the holiday songs start earlier and earlier, so he's familiar with the pattern. Time to ring in the season with anarchy.

Up to you on how Blitzo reacts to Alastor though most of your castmates have been "...aw shit". Honestly, Alastor's reaction to Blitzo would be probably be utter amusement. He's been here in Songerein since the start so he has learned a liiiiiittle chill (particularly after that whole "going full noctaere" thing) and being allowed around others on a regular basis (y'know instead of them just straight up fleeing) but he's still Alastor.

How would you like these two to bump into one another? I was debating making an open log with various prompts for the two Dream Board things and a couple more generic ones like being around town or dreamwalking, but figured I'd ask if you wanted a special Blitzo-only prompt. ^^
