Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. Amy Rose | Sonic the Hedgehog

Character: Amy Rose | pricklybloom
Canon: Sonic the Hedgehog IDW Issue #30 (Isle of Avalon CRAU)

About: A generally cheerful hedgehog girl who likes to do her best to help other people. She's overall friendly and sweet, but stronger than she looks, and coupled with a short temper it can be bad for anyone who manages to make her mad.

Abilities: She has above-average speed, strength, and durability, as well as sharp reflexes and acrobatic skills. She can especially hit hard with her Piko Piko hammer. Thanks to her time in Avalon, she also has healing magic and dark magic (which includes jinxes, hexes, curses, and some shadow manipulation). When dreamwalking, I'm thinking of giving her some light abilities, as well as some wind and earth manipulation.

PLANS
General: No real big plans with her, other than making more friends and getting more used to and training with dreamotion. Maybe have her exploring more of the world, or finding a more long-term job
Dream Board: I'm considering some of the Harvest Time quests, or Dreams, Camera, Action!
Event: I did put a top-level for her, but I'm planning on tagging out a bit too!

CR Dreams: All the friends! Amy loves making friends, and while she can be a bit loud and a little pushy, she is loyal and will always do whatever she can to protect those that she cares about.

About: Dorian is a young noble who became a bard after he left the seclusion of his home in order to find his worth. He's a bit sheltered, and constantly tries to prove himself, but can get a bit temperamental when things don't go his way. For the most part though he has a good heart; he loves seeing people from all different walks of life coming together, and will do anything for the people he cares about.

Abilities: As an Air Genasi bard, has a number of traits and spells that he's able to use, and can also cast spells the Canaith Mandolin. When dreamwalking, he'll probably lean towards wind and lightning/thunder abilities while still utilizing music.

PLANS
General: He's recently had his first dream recording, and it shook him up a bit, so he might be a bit more withdrawn as he deals with the repercussions of it. Other than that, he's probably been playing music and putting on small shows as a means of working. He might also need to start exploring a bit.
Dream Board: Maybe All I Want for Christmas Is You and/or Power Search
Event: I put a top-level for him too, but will probably also be tagging out with him a bit

CR Dreams: He definitely needs more friends that he would feel comfortable talking to about things. He's pretty secretive, but anyone who is able to get passed his walls will find a loyal friend who does what he can to help out

Because I need more CR with 76 and this lovely guy, but also-

I keep vaguely mentioning this thing I'm doing this month, and because I keep forgetting I don't have you on plurk, but would you like to toss Shigeru along on a "secret" trip that some of 76's other more trusted CR are being invited along on?(It's a closed log deal.) It's basically going to be the discovery of a second Glowing Dawn Cave and he'd trust Shigeru enough to keep the part that needs to be kept a secret hush-hush.

If you're interested I can give more details easily, and there's a handful of other characters(plus a few of their +1s) that are also involved.

Likely be very appreciated! There'll be a lot of things he can take note of, and could likely help with some medical things along the way and inside the cave itself, and so on. The trip there will be more dangerous than what'll be in the cave when it's found at least, and Shigeru can help make sure they got enough medical supplies to not wear himself out too much.

Kor Meteor | Tales of Hearts R

Canon: Tales of Hearts R, Post-arrival on Minera

About: Kor is a shounen protagonist, happy-go-lucky, friendly, inquisitive about the world and people around them, and way too meddlesome for his own good. He has a catchphrase: "Kor Meteor doesn't try, Kor Meteor does!", and by god does he ever live by it, giving his all to everything he does, seeing his promises through, and flinging himself headfirst into trouble at every opportunity.

He's kind-hearted, trusting to a fault, and very naive, but always quick to try and befriend others, whether they want to be or not. You will be his friend. That's not a threat, it's a promise.

Abilities: Kor is a swordsman first and foremost, and one of the few Tales swordsmen to actually be legitimately trained as opposed to kind of winging it and somehow pull it off. He utilizes a sword-and-shield gladiator style of fighting, combining slashes and thrusts with shield strikes to create fluid combos. He's also talented at fighting in the air and maintaining momentum there. Besides the above, he's also capable of using lightning, fire, and light elements in his artes.

Thanks to the Soma he's equipped with, Kor also possesses the ability of "Spiria Linking", which allows him to enter and traverse the hearts of others. He utilizes this power to help people, helping them overcome inner struggles and to help rebalance their emotions so they're not consumed by negative feelings.

As far as dreamotion goes, he demonstrates a high level of proficiency with it, using it to create weaponry, tools, empowering himself. He thinks he created the beach that happened a couple months back. But despite his wrong assumption about that, he is extremely talented with dreamotion and can do almost anything he puts his mind to with it, with his only limit being his lack of creativity.

PLANS
General: I'd like him to help out more people! Kor managed to get himself a job working for the "therapist" that appeared in Songerein. Don't ask how, some questions are best left unanswered. so now he's officially in the business of helping others with their problems using his powers! So if your character has trauma that needs addressing... /fingerguns
Dream Board: All I Want For Christmas Is You

Harvest Time, Dragon Edition
Event: I'll probably just do tagging out on the event unless I can muster up the time to slap together a top level. He'll be up for hot springs and hot pot shenanigans for sure!

CR Dreams: I'm open to most things, Kor likes making friends and sparring partners and people who like to do things. He thrives with found family scenarios, as he makes a great big brother figure to younger characters, or a little brother to older characters, due to his childish yet diligent nature. He could also do well with having a mentor of some sort to help rein him in and also help him focus on what he needs to do here since he can do a lot of good with his powers.

Bennett | Genshin Impact

About: Bennett's a good-natured, well-meaning Adventurer who's unfortunately extremely unlucky. He's cheerful, outgoing, always down for anything, and is a real go-getter. He's got a real zeal for life and a thirst for adventure, excited and enthusiastic for anything that comes his way. Even when the chips are down and the odds are against him, he finds a way to remain optimistic about things.

And boy, are the odds always against him. Truthfully, his bad luck weighs heavily on him, his misfortunes often ostracizing him from his fellow adventurer colleagues and preventing him from doing what he loves most and at his best. He's got a lot of skill and talent, but his impulsive nature combined with his bad luck streak often leads to terrible results as things go poorly around him. But even when things get him down, he never remains down for long. Life's too short and he never knows when his next day may be his last, so he might as well enjoy his life while he can, right?

Abilities: Bennett is a Vision holder, and his powers are aligned with Pyro! He uses it in a wide manner of ways, arranging from offensive with fire-infused sword-based attacks, to a more supportive form, using his powers to create an Inspiration Field to power up and heal his allies. Bennett may be unlucky, but everyone else surely benefits from having him around.

Dreamotion-wise, he's been using it to learn how to use fire and healing in more concentrated and simpler ways. If only he could use it to give himself good luck, right?

Event: i haven't decided on anything yet for the event but I'll probably tag around on the hot springs long and he'll for sure be joining the power source expedition. It's adventure time!

CR Dreams: Bennett just needs friends, people who are willing to put up with his bad luck and down on his luck attitude and support the guy, and just are willing to hang out with and adventure with him and enjoy his company even if things go sideways or even become dangerous thanks to him.

76 is bringing extra sleeping rolls/bags because it might take a couple of days to just get there and hopefully Shigeru will not mind the Yetox pulled wagons, or the Alpanthras coming along to sort of act like wagon guards. They're good animals.

YUMA ILVERN | SHINING RESONANCE REFRAIN

Character: Yuma | reluctantradiance
Canon: After the events of obtaining the Sky Dragon's soul

About: A kind-hearted, friendly, but rather insecure boy who also just so happens to be the host of the Shining Dragon (and a decent dose of Sad Backstory). As a result he's very timid and worries a lot about hurting other people with his power. He's also used to being a little outcast, lonely, and put up on a pedestal for it. He tends to be easily dragged into things but all in all he's a good friend. He may be a pushover but he still has his limits; he will call you out for being unreasonably cruel. He can be easily intimidated but that doesn't mean he's not down for small talk! Also he does have a fondness for music. Not just because it was often used to calm him when he went berserk, but he just likes a nice tune. If you're a musician then chances are you'll get along pretty well with him.

He's also great at encouraging and being kind to his friends but by god he can get flustered pretty easily when flirted with.

Abilities: He's pretty decent with a two-handed sword and also has a small variety of magic, from buffs to a bit of healing and a lightning spell. None of his magic is particularly massive or ultra-powerful, but he has some decent variety.

While normally he is able to shapeshift into the Shining Dragon, that power has become dormant upon his arrival. In time, he may decide to recreate that ability, albeit without the many dangers that come with it. After all, he doesn't want to accidentally wipe a mountain off the map because he got startled by a bug. Again.

In the meantime, he'll most likely appear as the Shining Dragon - in its restrained form - in the dreamscape. He's got mixed feelings about this, but he's getting used to it. He's also trying to experiment with dreamotion to form some light spells, in hopes that he can learn ways to use that ability in less harmful ways...but he's still got to get over his fears of hurting others first.

PLANS
General: He's working on getting a handle on dreamotion, but he could use some help on that front since he's still uncertain about it. He'll probably just start off with some smaller light spells but maybe work his way towards conjuring some illusions (with the end goal to semi-recreate his dragon form).

Dream Board: All of them look pretty appealing, especially:

Event: He's going to be VERY interested in visiting the dragon springs! And maybe some hot pot stuff as well! I'll try to make a toplevel if I can muster the energy but if not I'll be doing some tagging out c: He's especially going to be shocked that the dragons are shapeshifters

CR Dreams: Friends and found family are always welcome! Yuma does not do well by himself as he's prone to spirals of insecurity and defeatism. However, around other people this very quickly does a 180, and not just because of the possibility of others reassuring him. Just being around other people who are kind to him and treat him as an equal is enough to lift his spirits and make him feel a little more normal and accepted.

Yuma can also be a reliable and empathetic friend, willing to encourage others and reassure them if they're having troubles. He's also great as a voice of caution, given how wary he is of people being hurt. Alternately, if you just want to be friends with a dragon, it's hard to go wrong with him. (Though he's still working on getting that form back, so he's just gonna be human for now...)

(Also, hello I am back from hiatus! Also I'm doing NaNoWriMo this month so I may be a little bit slow, but I'll do my best to stay on top of things! o7)

Baldr | Tales of the Rays

Character: Baldr | unbrokenoaths
Canon: Tales of the Rays, Last Cradle Chapter 18

About: Baldr is an outgoing, mild-tempered knight who's been through the wringer a bit. He was killed in the war that destroyed his country, spent ten years in an unending void of dark and pain, was brought back to possess someone else's body, went back to the void, then finally got resurrected again. He's in dire need of a vacation, is what I'm saying.

Somehow the combination of these experiences has turned him into a seasoned mom friend. He's welcoming to basically everyone, hilariously domestic (guess who helps plan the Princess's sleepovers? this guy.), adept at cleaning and cooking and military tactics all while still having time to give the kids a pep talk when they need it. He's an all-around friendly and playful person, but opening up about when he's having a hard time himself is still a work in progress.

Abilities: Currently: pretty ordinary JRPG fighter abilities. He uses a mix of swords and martial arts, and he's got some healing ability and wind and earth elemental moves. He's down for combat plots, is the gist of it! Still deciding what direction I'll be taking new abilities in.

PLANS
General: He's new, so in the immediate term, I'd just like to get him out and about and making new friends as much as possible. A little in the longer term I'm interested in how he'll work on developing his dreamotion, especially because "magic" of that sort in his world is more genetic than learnable, so he'll have some mental hurdles to get over.

Dream Board: Potentially Dreams, Camera, Action! and Harvest Time, but he could easily get himself involved in Power Search.

Event: Definitely tagging out! If RL gives me the leeway I'll probably put up a TL in a bit for mandragora, hot pot, and hot springs (TY SONG THIS IS THE VACATION HE NEEDED).

CR Dreams:

What I can give:
• fairly reasonable adult with very high levels of patience. Seriously, in canon he lives with this guy and hasn't even snapped yet. He can potentially still be positive CR to characters who have commited Some Crimes.
• good cook and makes excellent tea. Also good at teaching other people who would be interested in this.
• potential sparring partner or teacher for someone interested in martial arts and katanas.
• he knows how to keep house for mad scientists. IDK that this information is useful to anyone, but there it is.

What I'm looking for:
• other (reasonable?) adults to get him out of caretaker mode sometimes.
• any and all characters in need of an encouraging mentor type.
• characters he can tease! he's very playful and needs enrichment.
• any other characters who have experienced death, possession, or similar shenanigans to commiserate with.

But seriously I'm interested in anything and everything! Negative CR included, though that is Challenge Mode with this guy in particular.
