Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. We have a handy dandy form so go forth, tell us about yourself and your characters, and start plotting! You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond! Continuing or using things from the recent TDM.

Octavia | Helluva Boss

Character: Octavia of the Ars Goetia | systemofadowny
Canon: Post-season 2, episode 2

About: Octavia is a spunky teenager who loves music, the stars, her dad, goth aesthetics and being snarky whenever she's annoyed. She's trying to get through life despite being a princess with many expectations placed on her since hatching. While prone to acting on emotion, she's smart enough to reason her way through issues and most recently, came to terms with her parents' divorce. Turns out the man who slept with her father didn't ruin everything and instead, showed him love when he felt none from an abusive marriage.

Also she's steadily learning to defend herself since making all kinds of friends means she's recently been heading into danger checking in on them.

Abilities: Owl Physiology: Via can turn her head around at least 180 degrees without issue. Also she sometimes makes bird noises.

Magic: While not trained in advanced magic, Octavia at least got some basics down like minor pyrokinesis. The exact extent of what she knows isn't shown, but she knows the fundamentals of magic.

Dreamotion: Octavia primarily channels Dreamotion through song, even if I haven't exactly focused down what she can do with it. She's a teenager, so the emotions will come out like it or not. This sometimes means she'll suddenly go into musical numbers. One thing she can do with songs aside from typical buffs and health regen is influencing others' emotions. This obviously won't work on your character if you don't want it to, but it could come in handy. She's been interested in studying nightmare energy, so that particular aspect of her Dreamotion might reflect that.

PLANS
General: Currently, Octavia's undergoing combat training to defend herself if it ever comes down to it. It'll be fun to work her through that, especially in the early stages when she won't be very good. Long term goals include making more friends to help her figure herself out. Nothing too major in that department yet.
Dream Board: Dark Crystals: I play a bird character and need to make obligatory references to a specific movie. Which movie you ask? MmmmmmMMMMMMmmmmm, that's a good question.
Fireworks: Via recently learned what fireworks are and loves them. Obviously she'll want to see more of them, even if using them isn't as simple as she'd first think...

Event: She's a teenager, she doesn't do children's stories anymore, UGH. That said, I'm a bit tempted to see how strongly Octavia will question the big bad wolf and why he goes around bullying a bunch of people.

CR Dreams: Give her friends, give her siblings to adopt. Give her people she can argue with, friendly or not! She's an emotional teen with Opinions(tm), so bring it on.

Dante | Devil May Cry

About: Dante's a fun loving manchild who constantly exudes fun uncle energy. He's cool, he's goofy, he's a giant dork and also enjoys having a good time. Beneath the veil is a man coping with fears and learning to open up more, especially as his relationship with Lady becomes more serious. While he enjoys fights and showing off his talents, he's a man who genuinely cares about people and helping out however he can, even if he's not direct with his intentions. Dante's still learning how to talk about his feelings.

Abilities: Oh boy, Dante has a lot of abilities. Let's just summarize them a bit:

Demon origins: He's a half demon and son of an incredibly powerful demon of legend, Sparda. And since demons where he's from gain power off of human blood, being half and half means things like living off of rule of cool, being incredibly strong, treating fatal injuries like they're inconveniences, some control of magic and whatnot? It's all pretty normal for him. Granted, most people in the DMC universe live off of Rule of Cool, but Dante gets IC reasoning for it.

Devil Trigger/Sin Devil Trigger: By embracing his demonic half, Dante can take a more demonic appearance that greatly amplifies his physical attributes. Sin Devil Trigger is the stronger version of devil trigger with a different appearance and even unique abilities of its own.

Style changing: Being the master of combat that he is, Dante generally divides his abilities into four styles: Swordmaster, Gunslinger, Trickster and Royal Guard. One is melee, one is guns, one is movement and another is defense. All of them let him wield his weapons in different ways to change up his approach to combat.

Dreamotion: So it comes up here and there, but Dante's ability revolves around turning himself or others into living weapons for people to wield, called Devil Arms. They'll be based on the person's abilities and need to be willing to be wielded by someone for them to work or even change into them. Wielding Dante as a weapon, for example, increases someone's physical capabilities greatly, gives a mass boost of confidence and the ability to make anything you do look cool.

PLANS
General: Dante's happily running a business with his new partner, Blitz, that focuses on bodygard work, noctaere hunting and the like. While they can't agree on a name, Dante calls it DMC: IMP (Devil May Cry: the Immediate Murder Professionals). It's been forcing him to be more careful and take proper precautions since he's not working by himself anymore.

Hopefully, he learns to better himself enough so he can relax and enjoy the relationship he's getting into.

Dream Board: Dark Crystals: Studying them is whatever for him, but people might need protection while going out there. That's what DMC: IMP can handle well.

Event: Since Dante's basically a cartoon character, he might just have his fun wherever he can, in-depth bodyguard work like dressing up as Not So Red Riding Hood to deliver the package.

CR Dreams: Let Dante adopt you or be your cool uncle! Or if you wanna join a friend group of sad people figuring themselves out by fighting life threatening dangers, he might invite you to join Devil May Cry! Or just go drinking with him.

Canon: The Great Ace Attorney (post-canon)

About: An Actual Victorian orphan who went from picpocket to apprentice detective and speaks with a Cockney accent. She's friendly and good-natured for the most part, but is also capable of being insecure, irrational and distrusting. She's accompanied by a dog named Toby, who helps her solve cases!

Abilities: She's an ordinary person, but she's armed with a gun that shoots out colorful gas pellets. Her dreamotion allows the gun to instead shoot out almost anything she can think of, like ropes or nets. Also, Toby has a sharp nose and can track by scent.

PLANS
General: Gina's partially going with the flow. She's been waiting at the Wild Harvest and also offers herself and Toby for detective services around town.
Dream Board: I've come up with this wild idea where Frosty will, in the midst of all the deeds he's doing, also try to help Gina with detectiving and basically be some weird frozen Gumshoe. She could also take part in shenanigans with the fireworks (she loves them! despite these ones making everyone angry) and maybe the sealing of the siren.
Event: I might top level? At the very least, I might do something open for her helping out with the Goldilocks story. She may also help take on gingerbread rebels and/or malfunctioning ovens.

CR Dreams: I'm open to all sorts of CR for her! Friends, found family, rivals, mentors (ones who could influence her in terms of being a detective and/or appeal to her pickpocketing past), overly friendly people, people from other time eras (teach her more modern things?). Also CR from similar poor backgrounds or characters from wealthier/more privileged background for contrast. All sorts of CR would be welcome!

Magilou Mayvin

About: Chaotic gremlin witch who loves over-the-top shows, bad comedy and trolling/embarrassing others while deflecting from her own emotions and issues. She's the one who says 'Magikazam'!

Abilities: Her abilities back home were mostly linked to a Norman she had a pact with, named Bienfu. Without him, she's been working to replicate her artes through dreamotion, which is much more effective in dreamscapes than out of them. She's also just generally good at sleight of hand and illusions. She's a magician!

PLANS
General: I generally want to find more opportunities to touch on Magilou's more sincere/serious aspects. But also generally a lot of shenanigans. And I have to get on her setting up more shows to perform!
Dream Board: The sealing of the siren and the dark crystals could be maybes for her, but I"m not sure.
Event: I might just tag out with her for this event, probably focusing on the storybook stuff. I don't have much in mind for this one!

CR Dreams: Most kinds of CR will be great! People to troll and/or people who will troll back. Fellow magical types, performers or other people to drag into her shows, rivals, frenemies, people who can try to keep her in line, whoever!

About: Dorian is a young noble who became a bard after he left the seclusion of his home in order to find his worth. He's a bit sheltered, and constantly tries to prove himself, but can get a bit temperamental when things don't go his way. For the most part though he has a good heart; he loves seeing people from all different walks of life coming together, and will do anything for the people he cares about.

Abilities: As a bard, Dorian has access to some magical spells; which includes the ability to charm/hypnotize/inspire people, create illusions, make wind/thunder-based attack, turn people invisible, and do some healing. He also has a musical instrument that also allows him to use certain spells.

So far his dreamotion is channeled through his music, and it's helped boost some abilities he already possesses as well as create and manipulate wind.

PLANS
General: I don't really have much long-term plans for him. Right now he's mostly just been hanging out and trying to figure things out
Event: I'm probably just going to be tagging out on the event post. So if anyone would like me to tag someone specific, let me know!

CR Dreams: This boy absolutely needs more friends! Especially people that he would feel comfortable opening up to things about. I also wouldn't turn down anything possibly romantic either. He's pretty secretive, but anyone who is able to get passed his walls will find a loyal friend who does what he can to help out
