Also, since his girlfriend just disappeared he is more invested in finding a way for that sort of separation not to repeat in future. What better way to deal with your problems than by just throwing yourself into work. Task Preference: Kaiba has made no secret about his obsession/connection to dragons, so he would be leaning more towards seeking them out for information.
