✵ ACTIVITY CHECK: JANUARY 2022 ✵

It's time for the monthly Activity Check!

FOR THE OWL MINI EVENT please don't forget to submit your threads so they can be used in determining what kind of rewards and effects we'll have post event!

Please refer to the Activity Check section in our Game Info page for complete details, but here is the quick list of what you need to know:

• Only threads dated from January 1st through January 31st will count. (Exception: certain backdated threads, TDM threads, read the sections for more details.)
  
  
• You must provide 2 threads of at least 5 comments each. The comment count is from your character. This means it must be some combination of 5+5. Not 6+4 or 2+8.
  
  
• Any thread counts, including those made within your own entries and subthreads within your own toplevels. Individual entry posts do not count.
  
  
• Continuation threads are considered as part of the previous thread so they count as one thread not two. Please link both separately so we don't get confused.
  
  
• Backdated threads can be counted so long as they 1) start in the previous month, 2) the majority of the comments are in the current AC month, and 3) was not used for the previous month.
  
  
• Test Drive threads will count, however we have a one TDM thread limit. Because our TDM is bimonthly, only the January TDM will count for this AC. You cannot use the same thread from the previous AC.
  
  
• You are exempt from any checks for hiatuses that last for over 21 days. Anything less and you'll still need to submit your AC unless there are other circumstances.
  
  
• Because we are a capped game, there is no strike system. If you do not make the AC requirements, you will be cut.

There will be no warnings. All submissions are due Monday, January 31st 11:59PM US Central.

✵ BONUS INQUIRIES ✵

This is not required and completely optional, but included in the AC submission form is a field to allow players to note any special incidents, encounters, or discoveries that occurred in their threads. So if a character found some creature or a location, you are welcome to include it so we can add it to the setting. You are also free to comment for other submissions on the World Directory.

You can also make quest requests to be included in the upcoming Dream Boards. If possible we'll add them immediately, otherwise we'll save them for the next Board. If you don't have one in mind, you can post it later to the upcoming Mod Announcement.

1. Tenn discovered that he can aid plant growth if he focuses his dreamotion while singing to them. In the interest of keeping the new cultivated gardens in Reverein healthy during all that snow, he’s been singing over them when he passes by. (No major effects, but at least the plants had encouragement during the blizzard!)
2. Tenn is finishing the potion-brewing project!

Quest Request: The Witch’s Brew apothecary is prepared to brew a defensive potion against Erasers. However, due to using much of our supply during the research phase, we are looking to restock. If you have the time and resources to spare, please report to the apothecary in Halloween Haven. We’ll give you a list of some herbs to find. (posted by Tenn from the Witch’s Brew)
Reward: A bottle of the potion made from Baba Yaga's recipe. Besides being able to clear inky pools, it can disintegrate weak Erasers and damage stronger ones. (*this potion has no effect on Noctaere)

Extra Note: Jiang Yanli went through the whole owlet life cycle this event, from rescuing an egg from a snoyote to returning the hatched chick to its mother. She also got scraped with a snoyote tooth via a dodged lunge, so her arm was paralyzed until her brother Wei Wuxian removed the paralysis via a talismen (a la this mod questioning).
Quest Request: This month Jiang Yanli is going to attempt to build a soup cart that can be easily pushed into town in order to sell food to the masses. She's still a fledgling at dreamotion energy, and also isn't too skilled with carpentry — she's going to be looking for a handful of people who can help out with this project, as well as those willing to paint/decorate the cart.
Reward: Free soup for the day, as well as soup tickets for when the cart is fully functioning!
