Hello there!! I'm Kanon and I've had my eye on this game for literal months so I was excited to see this go up. I'll probably app one of these two! Though I've also been watching a ton of Kamen Rider lately so I can't promise that I won't pull a switcheroo later.
Turing 2064: Read Only Memories
Lil' sapient robot from the year 2064 who just got done with taking down a corporation and bringing sapience to other robots!
They're the talkative sort, to the point where they might need to be told to stop if they're stuck on a particularly interesting topic. Turing is also very curious since they've sent a grand total of a week out in the real world, so you can imagine how that works out when it's in conjunction with the former. However, underneath that friendly and eager-to-help personality is someone who's really not sure what their place in the world is or even who they are yet. Not to mention that there's a little extra trauma there for flavour. Turing also likes painting and has every episode of The Joy of Painting on their personal memory.
Oh, and they might have stolen a car, obtained a forged passport, and broken into someone's apartment on the way. It's Fine
The idea of robots dreaming and using them using magic-adjacent powers are things that are really fascinating to me (don't think I won't try to put Turing in a magical girl-like outfit) so that was an instant draw for me. The thing about Turing is that they're super impressionable, so every time I put them in a game they turn out a little differently. I'm really curious about how Songerein's setting would affect them.
Kris Deltarune
A quiet HUMAN who's been acting strangely lately...
Kris is a weird little gremlin who eats moss and lives in a town of monsters. They are in fact known as "the weird kid" instead of that just being a glib description on my part. They're acutely aware that they are being controlled and pushed every which way because of the SOUL in their body, and they're not thrilled about it. Really not thrilled. Please don't panic if you see them pull a heart-shaped object out of their body.
Okay, I won't even lie to you, I jumped at the opportunity because then I'll have an excuse to have Kris change into their Dark World outfit instead of having to choose. I feel like I could both draw a lot of parallels between the Dark World but also have Kris see enough differences to make it unsettling. I am one of those players who purposely inflicts PAIN on their characters, I'm sorry. Plus I also do want to play with the more meta aspects of Deltarune and how that would work in both an RP setting in general and a dream world. Throwing Kris in a game with a bunch of human characters would sure gonna be a thing huh
