Leona Kingscholar is the prefect/dorm leader of the Savanaclaw dormitory and a pretty lazy and arrogant third-year student! He's also the second prince of his homeland, the Sunset Savanna, but due to the line of succession he doesn't have a chance of wearing the crown with his brother and his nephew in the way. This understanding has more or less made Leona pretty apathetic despite having incredibly powerful magic. His unique magic, "King's Roar", can turn anything he touches into sand!
For the most part, the only times Leona becomes interested in anything is if it gives him the opportunity to be a bit of an asshole. If it allows him to flex his muscles, then he might be convinced to be helpful if it also means he can prove how strong or smart he is in order to show off. Otherwise--- he's a beastman who will find the best places to nap and slack off.
Where I think Song would fit for him is that he is, and can be, a very angry individual. There's a lot of messy emotions beneath those lion ears of his, from feelings of worthlessness and helplessness to figuring out how much pride he really has when nothing means anything. In a place where that negativity can really harm the world around him... kinda neat. c:
I would probably play him from the end of chapter 2, which is the Savanaclaw focused chapter and currently available in the English version of the game.
