Hello Songerein! Sept here with a preview for our Player Plot happening ICly on May 20th. I will be canon updating Phantom, which will flip him to his alternate personality and thus into a Noctaere. He will be missing from Reverein starting from May 15th (today), which his close CR are definitely free to notice. Several NPCs will also be kidnapped from town over the next few days with no sign of the perpetrator or where they might have been taken.

On the morning of the 20th, everyone will receive (an image of) a entry ticket through the journals, inviting them to experience Dreammare Castle - a newly unveiled stage for grand adventure and theatre. The ticket is sent from Phantom's journal, but he will not (and cannot) respond to any messages sent back to him.

Dreammare Castle is situated on a ruined fort near the mountains in the Wildlands and reconstructed using Dreamotion energy. The interior of the castle is always changing, and characters entering the castle will progress through various rooms much like a roguelike adventure. The kidnapped NPCs will appear in the castle, brainwashed to act out scripted roles like actors in a play. In order to free them, characters will need to cooperate and finish acting the scene with them. PCs can also be brainwashed as actors if the players wish them to be - this role is not limited to NPCs!

As for Phantom himself, he will be somewhere inside the castle and quite difficult to find. The Castle is sustained by his Dreamotion energy, so reverting him back to his original personality is the key to dispelling the castle and ending the kidnappings once and for all. This segment is restricted to his current CR, but the rest of the player plot will have plenty of things for everyone to take part in.

i'm taking it easy this month (?) and i don't know if susato will really have a role anywhere here, but i'd like to at least offer use of the glowing dawn flowers if anyone would like to hit her up to take with them? they are flowers that have noctaere-suppressing properties discovered by 76 and kazuma, and are currently being grown in the mikotoba greenhouse managed by her and her father, yujin.

open to handwaving this interaction or threading it out for anyone interested!

He's made the connection or at least noticed her name is the same as Yujin, which 76 mentioned to him... .......He could ask her if she's related and it could also go from there??? When he'd ask is a different matter, but it's something that he could always think of when thinking of her, one of those "Oh I just remembered" moments. So could happen in our current thread and also do the follow up too O:

but that sounds fine, I think? we can sort of treat the mirror quest as an ongoing background thing then and steer the thread in that direction. maybe one of them wonders if there's books on noctaere or something and go from there. maybe can lead to her showing him the greenhouse :0
