Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. We have a handy dandy form so go forth, tell us about yourself and your characters, and start plotting! You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond! Continuing or using things from the recent TDM.

If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

Character: Dohalim il Qaras | menancia
Canon: Tales of Arise | Post-game.

About: Dohalim is a former lord who has, for a multitude of reasons, established himself as being Not Like Other Renans by choosing to build his realm's future on a foundation of peaceful coexistence rather than the default of Dahnan slave labor. He is well-educated, thoughtful and softspoken, and from a distance seems to be a paragon of nobility. Once someone gets to know him a bit more personally, he shows himself to be rather eccentric and much more interested in music, art and poetry than politics. He is also shown to be lacking in a lot of basic life skills, but rather than allow himself to be embarrassed about this, he is concerned with learning to live a little more like normal people. It's mostly working, but he still... has his moments. Because his realm is the land of green, he has a strong affinity with nature.

Abilities: Dohalim is proficient with staff-based martial arts as well as a wide array of magic known as "astral artes." He has a number of healing and support abilities, and his offensive spells are both earth- and darkness-aspected. He can tap into some of them here, but he has largely focused on learning to use dreamotion energy to replicate and expand his arsenal from back home. He is able to use it to shield and heal, as well as manipulate earth and plantlife.

Dreamwalker Form: He has started taking on some nature-themed traits while dreamwalking, largely in the form of flora in his hair or woven into his clothing that reflects the current season.

Plans: Last month was really heavy for Dohalim, so looking to keep it light this month while he works on processing having finally shared some pretty major trauma against his will.
➝ He needs a beach day badly, so he’ll be around on the beach log!
➝ Follow up with anyone who might want to check in with him following the lunar dreamscape.
➝ He’s going to start offering music lessons to those who would like a teacher! He is aiming to get back to his roots in the arts, and there has been more interest in such things since we gained a theater district awhile back, so thanks to some encouragement, he’ll be offering lessons in a variety of instruments as well as teaching people how to properly read music if they so desire.

CR Dreams: Fellow musicians, fellow nature nerds, other nobles who may find themselves a bit at a loss, anyone wanting to further develop their dreamotion… he is very easy to befriend due to his relaxed and pleasant nature. He is a fan of all fine and performing arts, as well as an enthusiastic historian and lover of artifacts, so there are lots of jumping off points if you would like to befriend this nerd!

He may be deaf and unable to hear it properly, but based on the vibrations/the stuff he's heard in dreams? This boi loves it and would love to try and find a way to get involved in that ;w; Music 2good

Oh my goodness, I love this idea- and Dohalim would too, because he is so in love with music that he does feel you experience it with other senses, so he would be onboard with helping zomboi to 'feel' the vibrations and the notes moving through him etc. HE IS THE PERFECT TEACHER FOR HIM, and of course dreamscapes and dreamotion can definitely assist in this area!

Aaaaa I love this?? He's going to be so excited about it. Bless his soul if he ever gets to play with a tuning fork... Learning that you can tell a note by it's vibration is going to blow his mind c:

Dohalim is going to get so weirdly poetic about this...! I am thinking he might do a brief journal entry about music lessons this month, but I remember that zomboi can't read well, so if you have another idea for getting them in contact I am flexible! I am wanting to throw someone at him at the beach regardless, but haven't decided on who yet— any one of the three could be fun but also Kainé is due to follow up with him and bump into him again, as well.

He is learning...! But it still has a ways to go 8') It could come up that he's having Yae Miko read it to him, he sees the sign of 'music' and just goes THAT ONE.

Also omg yes 9u9 He needs to meet buffdad's buffwife again. He is going to help Nier make a field of flowers for her

That works! I will probably make that post a little further into the month but we could use that to at least give a point of contact to spin-off into an in-person thread if that works for you, I'm good with handwaving some of the deets of "how did we get here" in the interest of getting to the meat when the time comes, as well!

Yes... must get to know buffwife better. She's not at all surprised Nier is adopting as many kids as possible... that's just his way. She remembers zomboi being pretty sweet, too, she'll want to know monster kid is doin' okay.

Awww...buffmom♥ He has learned dreamotion things thanks to Nier :') so he's really great at conjuring bubbles and...throwing darts. So yes! Developments have been made!! He'll be excited to see her again too.

I know we have already spoken of the Plant Men (tm) but you have such an excellent roster that I have become greedy and want CR with Balthus and Kainé too? Mostly because it seems Balthus has joined the Ori Brother Club (also tm) and if Kainé is also going on the field trip then I want her to bully Trahearne thank you i love her

COME TO ME FOR TRIPLE CR, I WOULD LOVE THAT. All of my characters are fond of Ori in their own ways but Balthus is definitely the one elbowing into the Brother Club so that's perfect (she's his girlfriend's bff in this place), and it sounds like Kainé and Trahearne would have a lot to talk about because she will absolutely bully him, plant nerd. I am IN. My arms are open!
