✵ CR MEME: JULY 2022 ✵
Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. We have a handy dandy form so go forth, tell us about yourself and your characters, and start plotting! You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond! Continuing or using things from the recent TDM.
If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

Dreamwalker Form: Does the character have a cool, unique form when dreamwalking or do they look like themselves? Do you change it up depending on the dream?

- a quiet kid who comes across as way too serious for his age
- and also doesn't really like being babied or treated with a soft glove. very independent!
- he just wants to help! let him help you! he'll carry your stuff, deliver your mail, go on a convoluted fetch quest to bring you that small dingus you really want, fight monsters for you.........
- even if he kind of wants to say no sometimes. DEFINITELY not a bit of a doormat. nope
- may or may not be lonely. if he is, he's used to it, and it's fine (it's not fine)
- has a hard time expressing his feelings for 45385 reasons, but he's a great listener
- very curious, likes to learn about the world around him and the people in it
- prone to black and white thinking like a kid, despite his maturity
- Hero of Time, destined child, world savior twice over
- raised in a forest village by fae children who never grow up
- but he isn't one of them! he's been an outsider all his life rip
- his tree dad, after asking him to go find The Princess and save the world, died right in front of his very eyes
- all this at the tender age of ten years old
- this is fine
- Link and Zelda managed to save the world! ... after, like, accidentally leading the Big Bad into the Sacred Realm and breaking the timeline in three pieces and traumatizing themselves, but, you know, it worked out, everything's totally fine, right??
- but his bestest friend in the whole world, his guardian fairy, left after the adventure was over
- so he set out on a NEW adventure to find her!
- and ends up in a new land in need of saving. and gets turned into a plant baby for a little bit. and gets kind of bullied by his new fairy. also there's this moon that's about to fall and kill everyone in three days? so he has to groundshog day his way to victory? at least he gets to collect some cool fun masks that definitely don't house the souls of the dead and the hopes and grief of the ordinary people or anything
- everything is DEFINITELY fine
Abilities: Link no longer has any magical masks, having given them all up at the end of his journey, but he still has access to the magic he can channel through the items in that bag of holding he's got. He's predictably very athletic and combat-oriented and hardy, and he's also got a knack for music. He has a touch of precognition and sensitivity to negative energies in the world around him, so that might be fun to play with.
Dreamwalker Form: Primarily, he's going to look like himself, but I figure over time, depending on the dream, he might end up looking like different aspects of his identity (like his seventeen-year-old self, or his Deku/Goron/Zora/Fierce Deity forms) for funsies and character exploration
Plans: My long-term goals is for Link to begin his own healing process, after spending two games healing other people's sorrows. This is going to happen in stages, ranging from acknowledging his situation, to allowing himself to grieve, to learning how to express his feelings, to beginning to process his trauma. He'll never really be able to reclaim his innocence, but that doesn't mean he can't reclaim what's left of his childhood and learn how to grow in a healthy way. He's still going to be more focused on other people's struggles than his own and want to help people — Link's gonna Link. But really, I want this game to serve as a stepping stone and divergent point towards a happier path than the one that ends in him becoming the Hero's Shade.
CR Dreams: I'll take any and all CR, positive and negative, but I'm especially excited by the potential for CR with fellow kids. I'd also love fellow musician CR!
Link is a very good listener and takes everyone seriously, so I can see him being great at providing validation, and he has an intimate relationship with feeling out of sync with the people around him, so feelings of otherness are something he will be able to immediately relate to. He might also be able to help remind people of the simple things, in that way that idealistic kids can do.
