Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. We have a handy dandy form so go forth, tell us about yourself and your characters, and start plotting! You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond! Continuing or using things from the recent TDM.

Character: Tifa Lockhart | starshower
Canon: Final Fantasy VII (Remake), end of the game.

About: Tifa is the "Mom Friend" if there ever was one. She is a kind, empathetic, patient, protective soul who is always looking out for others. Sociable and friendly as she can be, she's much more reserved than she appears—she never wears her heart on her sleeve and keeps her emotions close, and prefers to talk about anything but herself. But don't let her shy, timid exterior fool you. She is a savvy business woman who ran a bar and can kick a lot of ass, too.

Internally, Tifa is defined by her grief and losses in life, is incredibly self-critical, and it's because of this that she is always pushing herself to do better. She'll always try to think things through first and put on a smile for others, but deep down beneath all of that is a woman still struggling from her past. In spite of her anger and her past, she is still always trying to do the right thing and to help anyone in need, and treat everyone with kindness, regardless of who they are or where they come from.

Abilities: Tifa is, by definition, the classic Final Fantasy Monk class. She utilizes different types of gloves/knuckles as weapons and uses powerful kicks and punches to fight. "Tifa-ryu", as she calls her style, is a mix between a handful of things: gymnastics, taekwondo, boxing, and wrestling, to name a few. She also carries several materias on her gloves that allow her to use magic: Cure, Fire, and Summon Ifrit, as well as an Elemental materia that adds a fire element to her physical attacks. Anyway, have a neat combo video.

As for dreamotion abilities, Tifa has become quite experienced with hers over the year and will sometimes use it to fight. Her emotions manifest into fire, and she's taught herself to wield it as a "weapon" of sorts in battle if it's ever needed. Eventually, I plan on having her learn water (and maybe earth, later down the line) dreamotion as well.

PLANS
General:

🌠 There is an announcement/invitation post for Eustace and Tifa's wedding coming up in December, and she'd like to know about some wedding traditions that other worlds might have! So come talk wedding stuff with her! The log for the wedding itself will be going up on December 3!
🌠 The wedding will be taking up most of my bandwidth in the immediate future, so beyond this post and a few other things, I am mostly keeping it light this month, so I'll be tagging out to others, so if anyone would like Tifa somewhere, please let me know!
🌠 They will also be working on figuring out a dog sanctuary and possibly link it to a pet cafe/bar that Tifa has had on her mind for some time, likely in the new year, but it's already a work in progress.
🌠 I'd just like to get Tifa out there more, and push her into situations where she'll open up to others a bit.
🌠 Looking back on something I mentioned almost a year ago: teaching meditation/yoga to help people who would like some extra control over their dreamotion abilities, or for those who just wish to participate. I'd also be open to having her teach martial arts to anyone who'd like to learn that too.
🌠 I'd also like for her to start learning water dreamotion, so if there's anyone with experience in that...

CR Dreams: Any and all. Negative/positive/in-between! She works well with literally any type of character but she's especially fun to play against the grumpier types. She'd benefit from people who can teach her some new combat styles as well as people who can really help her open up about herself/her feelings. Also more Mom Friends would always be fun!

What I can offer in return is who can cook, clean, kick, punch, and who is just an all-around genuinely friendly and good person/friend.

So, I definitely biffed it with Tifa's dream about the plate collapse and I think we had danced around something with Ira's dream about the keyblade war, so I was wondering if perhaps you wanted to do something where the two of them catch up and maybe talk about those dreams? Take that as an opportunity to grow their CR a little?

IT'S OKAY, I totally biffed it too with the dream. October ended up being So Much for a lot of people it seems, so no worries!!! 💗

I can hit up Ira's inbox or something? Would he end up at the Wild Harvest, maybe?

We can just call this a mulligan and hope November's a little kinder.

Both of those options work for me. He also has a top level on the event here if something works or you want to wildcard an option. I am not picky.

velvet crowe | tales of berseria

About: Velvet is as morally grey as they come. After betrayal, being turned into a daemon and forced into a three year long imprisonment where she had to devour other daemons like food, she only has one thing on her mind: vengeance, and she will stop at (almost) nothing to get it. She is a little cold, comes off as a bit selfish, and will often only do or accept something if it will benefit her in some way.

However, that doesn't mean she's completely devoid of feeling things! Deep down, she does care a great deal about the people at her side. She likes to cook and clean (but will never tell anyone that), and she's definitely the Big Sis/Mom of the group, and is pretty good with kids. Somewhere underneath it all, if anyone can reach those depths, is a woman who worries and cares, but is still coming to terms with her feelings on... well, everything.

Abilities: While Velvet does retain her human form, she is no longer that, but a Daemon/Therion due to her infection of the daemonblight. The biggest notable difference is that her left arm transforms into a red and black claw that can devour humans, animals, malaks, and other daemons. Velvet is also able to absorb the strength of those that she devours, and she can witness their memories as well. As mentioned, she uses the claw to feed on malevolence in order to stay alive. Don't worry, she won't eat anyone in Reverein...

Not only that, but she possesses higher than average strength, endurance, and although she is not invincible, she can hold up in a fight. It's because of the daemonblight that she does not feel cold, nor can she taste anything with her tastebuds, so it does come at a price.

On top of being a daemon with inhuman strength and a giant claw, she is also skilled in close combat. She utilizes her feet with the hidden blades in her boots, as well as the one hidden in the gauntlet over her right arm. She can also utilize her claw in battle with a Break Soul, and it gives her enhanced strength at the cost of her health. However, the less health she has, the stronger she becomes, like a "Berserker" mode.

PLANS
General:

🩸 Since Velet is still relatively new, she's going to need some acclimating to this new place, and she is going to waste absolutely no time in trying to figure out a way to get back to her own world to finish what she started. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to throwing her into situations that she will absolutely hate and be grumpy and upset about.
🩸 I'm trying to keep my inbox fairly light so I will just be tagging around the event for now while she gets used to the setting!
🩸 In the future, I'd really love to explore how her malevolence effects her and the world around her. Would she be susceptible to nightmare energy or able to fight it off easier than others? WHO KNOWS, but that's definitely something that I would love to look at figuring out sooner or later.
🩸 She won't be sharing her claw with anyone for now, but that could be a goal for the future, too.

CR Dreams: Since she's new, I'm going to go with the easy answer and say ANY AND ALL CR, please! Someone please be her friend, she doesn't realize that she actually needs them. And someone please force her to go outside and touch some grass because she needs to chill the hell out. What I can offer in return in the meantime is a grumpy tsundere who is actually a little bit shy and a little bit mean. I think she'd work well against characters who can stick through that and see her for the kind of person she ACTUALLY is, which is a soft marshmallow in the center... just really toasted on the outside. But she would also be a very good candidate for some negative CR... 👀
