✵ ACTIVITY CHECK: DECEMBER 2022 ✵

It's time for the monthly Activity Check! Do note that for this month we are requiring only one proof and providing full proofs will reward a free pass that can be used once any time during 2023.

FOR THE GINGERBREAD TOWN EVENT we'd request players who participated to include in the Extra Note section any dream music notes acquired and witch fights they did. Completed threads are NOT required; feel free to note anything ongoing or even handwave. Remember, how the event resolves itself will depend on how many points are acquired! Threads with those who are TDMing in the game will also count regardless whether the character is apped in or not.

Please refer to the Activity Check section in our Game Info page for complete details, but here is the quick list of what you need to know:

• Only threads dated from December 1st through December 31st will count. (Exception: certain backdated threads, TDM threads, read the sections for more details.)
  
  
• FOR THIS AC ONLY you must provide 1 thread of at least 5 comments. To receive the free pass, you must provide the standard 2 threads. The comment count is from your character. The comment count is from your character. This means it must be some combination of 5+5. Not 6+4 or 2+8.
  
  
• Any thread counts, including those made within your own entries and subthreads within your own toplevels. Individual entry posts do not count.
  
  
• Continuation threads are considered as part of the previous thread so they count as one thread not two. Please link both separately so we don't get confused.
  
  
• Backdated threads can be counted so long as they 1) start in the previous month, 2) the majority of the comments are in the current AC month, and 3) was not used for the previous month.
  
  
• Test Drive threads will count, however we have a one TDM thread limit. Because our TDM is bimonthly, only the December TDM will count for this AC. You cannot use the same thread from the previous AC.
  
  
• You are exempt from any checks for hiatuses that last for over 21 days. Anything less and you'll still need to submit your AC unless there are other circumstances.
  
  
• As a reminder to those who received a special free AC pass back in December 2021: these are valid until the end of December 2022, i.e. THIS MONTH, and will NOT carryover into 2023 as you have an opportunity to earn one at this time. Normally we do not allow a player to use a pass if they have used a hiatus prior, but given this is the last chance, we are lifting the condition so players can use their pass freely. However, we still would prefer if players do not use them to effectively skip AC twice in a row so please only use them as an emergency and at least give a reason outside of "I forgot about tagging the game." Having a situation that would normally require a hiatus is an acceptable use of the free pass.

• Because we are a capped game, there is no strike system. If you do not make the AC requirements, you will be cut.

There will be no warnings. All submissions are due Saturday, December 31st 11:59PM US Central.

✵ BONUS INQUIRIES ✵

This is not required and completely optional, but included in the AC submission form is a field to allow players to note any special incidents, encounters, or discoveries that occurred in their threads. So if a character found some creature or a location, you are welcome to include it so we can add it to the setting. You are also free to comment for other submissions on the World Directory.

You can also make quest requests to be included in the upcoming Dream Boards. If possible we'll add them immediately, otherwise we'll save them for the next Board. If you don't have one in mind, you can post it later to the upcoming Mod Announcement.

Extra Note: Eustace and Tifa got married!! So just relaxed and enjoyed their newly married life which really wasn't much different than how they were already living but intense feelings.

Witch Fight: He and Childe teamed up to first extinguish the witch oven's flames and then literally brought the roof down to stuff its face with it.

Extra Note: Mammon was trading fake baubles this month. But the baubles were filled with luck so anyone with one of these baubles will have a spark of luck for any of their journeys in the future. Also the well might be full of those baubles too if anyone tried to use them.

Extra Note: Participated in a number of events during gingerbread-and-toy saga. Actively fought during the battle with the witch, trying to be clever and use his fire immunity to do some tricksy things.

Blitzø became co-boss of DMC and helped finish rebuilding the office. He and Dante argue consistently about whether it's DMC:IMP or IMP:DMC. They threw a combination xmas party / grand reopening party. So there's a newly rebuilt office that advertises its fighters for hire, specifically for things like bodyguarding, hunting nocturae, etc.

Extra Note: A strange energy flowing in from the wastelands is resulting in unseasonably warm weather. Investigation reveals that the origin of this unusual energy are a number of dark crystal shards half-buried in the sand some distance out. If someone or something gets too close, these crystal shards condense the ambient energy around themselves into a body that resembles a dragon made entirely of smoke with three red eyes, which will attack in self-defense.
Quest Request: If the energy flow continues unchecked, it could result in all kinds of potential problems. Brave adventurers who can withstand the Wastelands are requested to subdue the smoke creatures and either break the black shards or bring them back so they can be safely contained.

Extra Note: Madhuri and G'raha have announced their engagement! They will wed in the spring, which is already coming up fast.

Event Notes- Madhuri and Alisaie nab a music note. Holidays got a little busy for me so I couldn't tag around, but my roll of the dice says that she may have shared one of her worst memories and found another note, obtaining TWO notes total for the event.

She would absolutely loan her aid in battling the witch, offering her new abilities as a Sage to shield delicate cookie and candy folk from burning and melting from the extreme heat of the oven, likely adding some stamina to the endeavor.

Millie would also find ONE note via busting nuts, and would contribute to the witch battle by using her strength to climb to the giant cupboard, fetch a bowl, fill it with hot cocoa water from the tap and stick it in the oven's gob.
