ACTIVITY CHECK: JUNE 2023

It's time for the monthly Activity Check!

We do not have any thread requests for the log, but we do have a few QUESTS that ask for threads. Players who participated should include in the Extra Note section any threads with the following:

• Dreamotion Monitors (what kind of dreamotions used, anything interesting to note)
  
• Observatory Baubles (what they saw)
  
• Crystal Moles

Completed threads are NOT required; feel free to note anything ongoing or even handwave.

Please refer to the Activity Check section in our Game Info page for complete details, but here is the quick list of what you need to know:

• Only threads dated from June 1st through June 30th will count. (Exception: certain backdated threads, TDM threads, read the sections for more details.)
  
  
• You must provide 2 threads of at least 5 comments each. The comment count is from your character. This means it must be some combination of 5+5. Not 6+4 or 2+8.
  
  
• Any thread counts, including those made within your own entries and subthreads within your own toplevels. Individual entry posts do not count.
  
  
• Continuation threads are considered as part of the previous thread so they count as one thread not two. Please link both separately so we don't get confused.
  
  
• Backdated threads can be counted so long as they 1) start in the previous month, 2) the majority of the comments are in the current AC month, and 3) were not used for the previous month.
  
  
• You are exempt from any checks for hiatuses that last for over 21 days. Anything less and you'll still need to submit your AC unless there are other circumstances.
  
  
• As a reminder to those who received a special free AC pass back in December 2022. If you plan to use it, unless there is an extreme personal emergency, we will not allow a hiatus exemption before or after the month of using the pass. This is so we don't get a weird case of { Hiatus > Free Pass } or { Free Pass > Hiatus } or { Hiatus > Free Pass > Hiatus } scenarios as that would effectively allow a player to skip two to three ACs in a row and we do not want that.

• Because we are a capped game, there is no strike system. If you do not make the AC requirements, you will be cut.

There will be no warnings. All submissions are due Friday, June 30th 11:59PM US Central.

BONUS INQUIRIES

This is not required and completely optional, but included in the AC submission form is a field to allow players to note any special incidents, encounters, or discoveries that occurred in their threads. So if a character found some creature or a location, you are welcome to include it so we can add it to the setting. You are also free to comment for other submissions on the World Directory.

You can also make quest requests to be included in the upcoming Dream Boards. If possible we'll add them immediately, otherwise we'll save them for the next Board. If you don't have one in mind, you can post it later to the upcoming Mod Announcement.

Extra Note: Barok participated with the dreamotion monitor, with his usage mostly involving the minor weather and temperature control he uses to take care of his vineyard and winery.

Ferran worked to free and protect a few of the trapped moles, but only once.

ALSO:
Though still finishing up the process of rebuilding, At Day's End Bar and Winery is very much open for business, and has expanded its offerings:

• Divine Retribution - A concoction of lemons, apples, clove and orange blossom, with both rosé and non-alcoholic grape juice varieties. Fragrant, sweet, and refreshing.
  
• Dew of the Ether - Champagne, except it's not from the Champagne region of France, so it's just sparkling white wine. Sweeter than "modern" Champagnes, with notes of almond, peach and toast.
  
• Pastoral Vista - A red wine with forward notes of dark fruits and accents of pepper, wood smoke, and baking spices. Great to pair with savory pastries and rich cheeses.

In addition, certain remarks have encouraged the owner to UP THE COZINESS. Warm-colored crystalline lights have now been added to the decor, along with several cushioned chairs both inside and outside on a new patio. With the addition of a bit of dreamotion, minor air conditioning and cooling mist is also available for those trying to beat the summer heat.

Quest Request:
You Be the Chef. Available for sign ups once a week. With their ingredients and stock recovering at last from the damage from the battle, the staff at the Harvest have set up various spices, herbs, vegetables, and even colorful bottles of sauce near the open grill station. All bottles are labeled, some homemade, and they are meant to complement the various meats available.

The entire garden is open to you! Create your own dish within one hour for the staff and other interested volunteer judges to try for lunch or dinner, and you'll receive a score. [OOC: Whether this is threaded out or not, if you are interested, you may submit dishes here.]

Reward: Highest scorer will have their dish included in the Harvest's menu with full credit. In addition, they will receive a special wooden ladle engraved with the Wild Harvest's logo, along with a similarly-engraved cutlery set consisting of a knife, fork, and spoon. Others will still receive a bouquet made of flowers plucked from the ever-blossoming grove as a thank-you for participating (volunteer judges, too).
