About: Vash, along with a large portion of humanity, has been stranded on a desert planet that was not designed for human life. Plants are used by the struggling people to provide things they need, like water. Completely normal. We don't talk about his genocidal brother or the large bounty on his head. Very normal, Very chill.
Abilities: Vash is an Independent Plant, basically a bioengineered alien lifeform that is virtually immortal. He has superhuman strength, agility, and healing factor as well as some uh weirdly unique plant abilities he's, at this canon point, not very aware of outside of a traumatic event that happened when he was younger. He is also good with gun and occasionally glows because why not.
I really want to delve into and expand upon Vash's ability to heal his sisters (non independent plants). Though the method of how that works is different I feel like it would be nice to have his dreamotion to develop as healing and protective, since that is essentially what he wants to do wandering around the desert. He's been hesitant to try though, so I would love for someone to help guide him down that road.
PLANS General: I am still shoving my foot into the game since I got a delayed start in July thanks to being in the hospital. Overall, Vash has been working to make sense of this new world around him as well as the new people and experiences. Also there's something to be said about the newfound freedom of being able to live without people trying to kill him or turn him in for a bounty so....
Dream Board: I've got a few of the dream board prompts I'm down to play with!
903. Hungry Owl Cats - Vash is going to feed these guys and he is going to likely get inundated with multiple ones. But he expects them to eat real food, so... maybe some help with stories to tell? Or shooing them.
904. The Baku - I don't want to delve into Vash's nightmares cause they're awful, but I would love for the chance to have him try and help someone else with dealing with theirs? Or perhaps the side effects of not sleeping because of nightmares. He's very good at taking care of others, just not good at letting people take care of him.
905. The Cattlepult - Definitely interested in animal shenanigans here. Vash has never seen a live cow in his life so that'll be a new experience for him. He might also really be concerned about how this is supposed to work exactly...
Event: I plan on having Vash participate in both parts of the event, absolutely throwing himself into doing things to help -- his reluctance to pull on dreamotion may hinder this a little but it would also provide a starting point for him to actually start to develop how he'd want to use it.
I will probably top-level for the portion that just went up and tag out for anything else unless there's interest for a catchall for him!
Specific Parts I'm interested in include helping the refugees, maybe mostly with first aid and shelter. Beasts are a harder sell but if someone needs help with those he will jump in to do a good deed. I'm also interested in him either being affected by or helping with the nightmare blobs so if someone wants to become pink on purpose, or by accident...he's your guy. In the same vein I think it would be funny to bust up someone trying to bottle up the fountain water for profit, instead of using it to help people.
Please let him chase cactuar around the desert like an idiot and wind up dealing with needles, thanks.
CR Dreams: Vash needs friends. People he can trust and learn to depend on. He's reluctant to rely on anyone but himself and though he's first to throw himself on top of someone to protect them or take a bullet for someone (or be shot by someone he feels deserves the chance to shoot him) he doesn't really let people in. I really want to work on opening him up that way, and let him make connections with people.
On the flip side, Vash is a kind, gentle soul who is willing to give anyone the chance to turn a new leaf if they need someone. He loves kids and is, in general, particularly protective of humans and intelligent life. He's very much a pacifist, but it's very clearly a HIM thing, he's not preachy about it. ...Mostly. He's touchy about killing when there's another way around it.
