Character: Ferran Gallagher | noblegarnet Canon: Original, after taking a blow for the villain
About:Magical boy turned antagonist. Perpetually attempting to solve problems in ways that cause more problems. Hates all Fae, thanks to his previous CRAU; is extremely tired of world-ending problems after 3 worlds' worth of them. After like 3 and a half years since his house burned down, has still not gotten over his fear of fire, oops.
He's a very flexible character! Depending on the person/situation he can be overtly friendly, neutral and impassive, or straight up scornful, though the latter usually has to to involve something like magical manipulation or gleeful murder (or fairies). If he doesn't have an opinion on something, he'll find one soon enough. He also likes showing off, mostly involving his magic, since he can actually do that here.
Abilities: His main tools from home involve ~transforming~ with the power of his gem like any proper magical boy. In addition to being able to create a weapon for himself, either a sword or bow, he can duplicate objects and charm people or things. The latter doesn't always work here, it's so weird and he can't quite figure out why! He also has access to other gems, granting him the ability to teleport, manipulate water, and physically heal people (the latter to his detriment).
His dreamotion, meanwhile, gives him fairy-related abilities: ring traps, portals, illusions, minor blessings and curses, and maybe some day he'll be brave and conjure himself some wings. Having been granted Gawain's powers a few months ago, he's also working on getting better at his less potent healing (not to his detriment!), greater strength in sunlight, and shields.
Sometimes he also loses it a little bit and breaks things. Don't worry about it. No need to worry about all the nightmare energy that's been shoved under the rug.
PLANS General: I've also got some ideas for not necessarily this month, buuuut I'm looking at a bit of a canon update and resultant log where he goes a bit catatonic/zombie-like to reflect how he is back home. Except instead of brains he'd be drawn to sources of magical power. :D He won't bite, probably.
I've also got a thought for some dreams in the near future, probably along the lines of him acting as the antagonist like he is back home, attempting to steal his friend's magic gems and beating them up, which is definitely fine and not a bad time for everyone. There's also a passive dream I could cook up where he's sad about his dad and coming to terms with his parents being gone.
As for this month in particular: he keeps losing a friend at a time so he'll be trying to distract himself from these things. ALSO IT'S HIS BIRTHDAY. uh yesterday. Which is also not a great memory since he almost died on his last one back home so there's that.
Dream Board: He'll be tackling the inugami with Vanitas, but he could be dragged into things like the scarf quest or falling stars. Don't recruit him for bell choir unless you want to learn how painfully little musical talent he has.
Event: Ferran will be out and about in town, so most is fair game for the snow prompts: glittery nonsense, cleaning up, and hot springs. It's also time to UNLEASH some nightmare energy, so he'll be heading into the Ice Queen's dream. That noctaere will also remind him of an unpleasant encounter he had last year and he may enjoy the idea of taking it out a little too much (:
