Character: Isabela Madrigal | senorita_perfecta Canon: Encanto, Post Film About: Isabela is the eldest of the Madrigal grandchildren and a former golden child who had to hide her own dreams and identity in a façade of perfection from years of having to live by people’s expectations. Until her baby sister Mirabel accidentally turned a marriage proposal dinner upside down, giving her an epiphany to let her true rebellious self out there and go nuts with her gift’s potential.
PLANS General: Isabela is running her own flower shop and she is hiring some more employees to help her out. There is so much one lady can do as a shopkeeper. Also trying to learn to play with other elements besides plants and wind, currently working on fire and water via her Princess All Kinds of Fur Essence. Dream Board: Nothing at the moment but she is available to assist in anyone else out. Event: Isa, being a stubborn as a mule gal, won’t be affected by the curse so she will be herself: pure unhingedness, pollen hair dye and plant control and all. She will take on whatever role your sleepwalker will see her as (ie. Fairy Godmother to your Cinderella, Big Bad Wolf to your Little Red Riding Hood). And she is going to be having headaches for weeks just trying to get people back to normal.
She will participate in finding and breaking that pesky flute because there is no way that she will want that curse to linger on for the next month and she really wants to help out so badly. Please be her flute destroying partner, please! Isa is begging you all to help her.
Etc.: Whenever Isabela tries to keep up with appearances but wants to get out of it very badly:
We already came up with plans in another thread but seeing the image at the end kind of makes me feel like Alastor would coach her on the "proper" use of a smile like he did Charlie:
"Just because you see a smile, don't think you know what's going on underneath! A smile is a valuable tool, my dear: It inspires your friends, keeps your enemies guessing, and ensures that, no matter what comes your way, you're the one in control!"
Your grandma may have intended that smile for you to be perfect, but she really did train you in one of the greatest weapons you can always have on hand!
