ACTIVITY CHECK: FEBRUARY 2024

It's time for the monthly Activity Check!

In the Extra Notes section, please note if your character has done any of the following:

• Flutes found and collected.
  
• If your character was a sleepwalker during the event.

Please refer to the Activity Check section in our Game Info page for complete details, but here is the quick list of what you need to know:

• Only threads dated from February 1st through February 29th will count. (Exception: certain backdated threads, TDM threads, read the sections for more details.)
  
  
• You must provide 2 threads of at least 5 comments each. The comment count is from your character. This means it must be some combination of 5+5. Not 6+4 or 2+8.
  
  
• Any thread counts, including those made within your own entries and subthreads within your own toplevels. Individual entry posts do not count.
  
  
• Continuation threads are considered as part of the previous thread so they count as one thread not two. Please link both separately so we don't get confused.
  
  
• Backdated threads can be counted so long as they 1) start in the previous month, 2) the majority of the comments are in the current AC month, and 3) were not used for the previous month.
  
  
• You are exempt from any checks for hiatuses that last for over 21 days. Anything less and you'll still need to submit your AC unless there are other circumstances.
  
  
• As a reminder to those who received a special free AC pass back in December 2022. If you plan to use it, unless there is an extreme personal emergency, we will not allow a hiatus exemption before or after the month of using the pass. This is so we don't get a weird case of { Hiatus > Free Pass } or { Free Pass > Hiatus } or { Hiatus > Free Pass > Hiatus } scenarios as that would effectively allow a player to skip two to three ACs in a row and we do not want that.

• Because we are a capped game, there is no strike system. If you do not make the AC requirements, you will be cut.

There will be no warnings. All submissions are due Thursday, February 29th 11:59PM US Central.

BONUS INQUIRIES

This is not required and completely optional, but included in the AC submission form is a field to allow players to note any special incidents, encounters, or discoveries that occurred in their threads. So if a character found some creature or a location, you are welcome to include it so we can add it to the setting. You are also free to comment for other submissions on the World Directory.

You can also make quest requests to be included in the upcoming Dream Boards. If possible we'll add them immediately, otherwise we'll save them for the next Board. If you don't have one in mind, you can post it later to the upcoming Mod Announcement.

This month was A Thing

Extra Note: For The Wild Harvest-

<b>The Wild Harvest</b> still has the beginnings of spring time creeping within it's doors, many of the vines growing along rafters and walls blooming with bright little flowers. Even amongst the always growing -and glowing- crescent moon shaped berries that add to the lighting inside. A few flower petals little the floors, and <a href="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FpL4DnoaAAAzBSU.jpg">a few mischievous flower cats</a> seem to be the culprits playing with them when not snoozing in the greenhouse garden together. A few patrons may find a <a href="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FluR1MdacAEKoHy.jpg">little visitor</a> or <a href="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fle6cfMagAAYBfp.jpg">two</a> at their tables; a possible <a href="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FiqoSDTaMAAJkZ6.jpg">third</a> flittering about on petal-like wings. Lively, really. The <b>Specials Menu</b> for the month; <a href="https://hostessatheart.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Baked-Corned-Beef-7.jpg">Corned Beef Roast</a> - A juicy and tender corned beef roast served in slices, alongside the flavorful potatoes that were cooked with it, mushrooms that have cooked into a bit of a gravy, and carrots. A very filling plateful of a meal that comes with a side of fresh baked rolls. <a href="https://i2.wp.com/www.downshiftology.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Beef-Stew-9.jpg">Beef Stew</a> - Any of the roast not eaten the previous day chopped up and used to cook in an overnight pot and turned into this flavorful and meaty stew. Chopped up potatoes and carrots alongside fresh peas and earthy herbs with a pinch of pepper to round out a delicious bowl of food. Also comes with some fresh baked rolls. <a href="https://therecipecritic.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/applecake-2-2-751x1000.jpg">Irish Apple Cake</a> - A buttery, moist, and mildly spiced cake that has an inner core of thinly sliced and wonderfully tart apples arranged within. Topped with a sweet and almost nutty oat streusel to help bring a balance of sweetness with that buttery, spicy, and tart flavor. Comes with a side of custard cream that can be drizzled along the top. <a href="https://cookinginchinglish.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/custard-bun-12.jpg">Steamed Custard Buns</a> - Soft and fluffy bread coated on the outside with sesame seeds, the inside filled with a wonderful sweet(or savory!) custard and has been steamed to help soak in those flavors and make it tender to bite. Comes in Pandan custard, egg custard, chocolate mousse with vanilla, or a more savory filling of spicy pork/beef/chicken topped with a matching meat floss. <a href="https://www.queenbeemixology.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Queen_Bee_Mixology_Tipperary-12-scaled.jpg">Tipperary</a> - A cocktail made with Irish whiskey, sweet red Vermouth, green Chartreuse, and Angostura bitters. Garnished with a bit of sliced orange, this cocktail plays with a few bold flavors of sage and vanilla- amongst others. <a href="https://i1.wp.com/apaigeofpositivity.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Frozen-Lemonade-Chiller-4.jpg">Raspberry Slush</a> - A slushy drink made with raspberry puree, orange juice, and lime juice to create something cool and refreshing. Balances sweet and tart, perfect for those spots of warmer weather or if you're feeling like something a little fruity. As always, <a href="https://www.theflavorbender.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Color-Changing-Lemonade-The-Flavor-Bender-3.jpg">Dreamades</a> are a permanent menu item.
