DREAM TREND: This month's dream trends may involve any of the following themes: purges, maids and butlers, new beginnings.

WEATHER: Warm, sunny, with occasional showers. Gentle cool breezes make it the perfect weather to enjoy a stroll.

OTHER NOTES: The flower pollen from last month will have died down so while it's still in the air it's less concentrated with fewer effects. There will be a very strange desire to clean everything as well as a want to try new things. More details before.

Good news, all the chaotic flower mess has been stabilized, though some of that pollen is sticking around. Otherwise, not too much extra to note here as everything is detailed in their proper place. We would like to once again thank Sky for the Nahida player plot! Hope everyone had fun with it!

If anyone was swept because they missed AC, you can reapply in the next cycle. Just fair warning, we will notice if this happens more than once and we may not allow immediate reapplication the next time.

WORLD UPDATES

Be it new NPCs, creatures, places, or some other discovery or creation, the world of Songerein continues to grow! For official lists and information, refer to the World Directory and Bestiary. So here are a few things as a result of the Dream Board and other submissions:

Places:
The Wild Harvest serves various western and eastern style earth-based street food dishes. A special's menu is rotated every month.

The Wild Harvest inside and out is still in full bloom, and the garden is flush with some early berries and vegetables- along with a whole bunch of herbs. There is a sign near some of these reading Take a basket, pick what you want. Come inside to return the basket, please! There appears to be a small but fierce "guard" to help those having trouble deciding where to start- and remind to return those baskets.

Some fallen petals are still being swept up, unless the flower and fairy cats/kittens get to them first for a bit of play. Even the Garnish and Spice noodle 'dragons' are getting swept up into the fun, along with a few of the gardens' snakes. While those ordering tea may find themselves with small but curious company that may want a little taste.

The Specials Menu for May is;

Vegetarian Spring Rolls - Freshly made spring rolls filled with red cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, mushrooms, green onions, and thin rice noodles. Comes with a dipping sauce that is a blend of soy sauce, hoisin, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic with some chili peppers for a nice kick at the end on the side.

Burrito Bowl - All freshly prepared, these bowls of food comes with your choice of freshly grilled meats(beef, chicken, pork) or a specially seasoned rice. Choice of toppings include beans, fajita veggies, and pico de gallo. All of it brought together with guacamole, salsa verde, queso, sour cream and/or cheese.

Poke Bowl - A raw fish dish, only the freshest of caught tuna is used. Cubed pieces of fish tossed in a mix of lemon juice and a mix of soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar with a bit of honey to be served cold. Served in a bowl with seasoned rice and veggies, and more sauce on the side.

Lemon Lime Soda Float - Fizzy and bubbly lemon lime soda brings a refreshing tanginess that balances well with the sweetness of ice cream that will help cool you down on any hot day. Either take it with creamy vanilla, or personalize with your choice of ice cream flavor. All made in-house.

Bellini - Bubbly, refreshing, and delicious. This mixed cocktail is sweet and peachy with a sparkle that makes it quite the accompaniment to any brunch, or light meal at a later time of day.

Lemon Squares - Bright and zingy, these lemon squares come with a thin and crisp shortbread crust and a delectably luscious lemon curd filling. A dusting of powdered sugar brings a pleasant sweetness to this lovely dessert item.

Mochi Doughnuts - Fluffy and moist doughnuts with a most satisfying chew, these mochi doughnuts may have you coming back just to try out all of the flavors on offer. Range from glazed, frosted, and powdered coatings.

Other:

Reaper and 76 have officially tied the knot! They eloped ~~the scoundrels~~ but they at least hosted a reception for everyone.
Clive and Jill have officially tied the knot! They had a ceremony everyone could go to during the Flower Festival and it was such a lovely time!

SPRING CLEANING

After all that transpired from the Flower Festival and Nahida's dreamscape, everyone is ready to relax a bit. However, there's never a dull moment in this place and some may find themselves busier than usual.

Dust Bunnies. Where did they come from, no one knows, but a giant swarm of dust bunnies will suddenly stampede through town, leaving, you guessed it, a large amount of dust and dirt in their wake. While most will come and go, others will linger around, hiding in nooks and within small space and beneath furniture. The dust bunnies themselves are harmless, but the problem is they create dust. A lot of dust. So much that within a few minutes an entire floor will be covered and if left for an hour or more, well. Some may be swimming in it. They need to be shooed away, but be careful not to hit them!! Not only would it be such a terrible act to hurt such a cute, little bunny, they will also explode and vaporize like a dust bomb and cover everything with even more thick layers of ~~their guts~~ dust.

Maid or Butler. While there are magical brooms and mops that will be making their rounds to try and clean things, they will not be enough, especially since these bunnies are invading every house and building. Thus some cleaning fairies are granting everyone special maid and butler outfits that will increase everyone's cleaning capabilities by 1000%. However, they have a side effect. Not only will they remain on for 24 hours, but over time the person will take on the mannerisms of an elite maid and butler, ready to not only clean but also serve those who may need them. Fortunately, it's not blind servitude, so they still have the right to refuse those they deem "unworthy." But for those they choose as their "master," they will be loyal to a fault.

Dream Roombas. The Orkilins will once again provide cool tech for everyone to try and use. Unfortunately, they will be prototypes and thus will malfunction. It will be very, very bad if these things suck up a dust bunny…

Pruning: Remnants of Nahida's dreamscape. While the dreamscape is over and the time loops closed, a large amount of nostilium was produced at the time and lingers around the Wildlands. Fortunately, there is not too much concern of it being too dangerous and can be easily cleared up. Black weeds will appear in small patches mostly outside of Reverein, particularly within the Wildlands. They only have a small amount of nostilium so they can actually be purified or snuffed out naturally, but the fae who reside within will ask for help to clear it out and check on any animals that may have consumed the affected plants. Tearing up the weeds from the ground or using dreamotion to purify it will be enough. The maid and butler costumes will also be effective against them.

Cluttered dreams. Of course, dreams will also be affected by the dust bunnies, however a different type will be scampering around. Nightmare dust bunnies will pass through various dreams, and like the other dust bunnies they are harmless, but they affect the dreamer by leaving their dreams foggy and muddled. Cobwebs will form and appear in every dream, and this "effect" will remain until either time passes or they are cleaned out of the dream. This "foggy" mindset will carry over even when awake, leaving those affected a bit dazed, confused, and more likely to daydream. They may also feel more tired since their dreams are not so clear. While these particular dust bunnies aren't trying to cause any bad nightmares, they are carrying a lot of nostilium, so it's possible the foggy effect could twist things around depending on the dream.

Chasing the nightmare bunnies. Curiously, these bunnies seem to be going somewhere. Those who try to chase and catch them will hear them squeaking about "migrating north" and they don't mean to cause any trouble! But they seem to be like tapirs and capable of traversing through dreams to get to their location. Where is it? Well, if a few are interested they could guide them… But it's dangerous for "non-nightmare creatures," especially since they will be traveling through dreams. For those who decide to embark on this journey, they won't reach that final destination, but they will be able to reach certain points that can lead further to it. While anyone can chase and catch bunnies, we have sign-ups for those interested in following the bunnies further. There will dangers and reasons for their journey to be cut short, so it won't be a simple walk through dreamland. Especially if certain corrupted tapirs may appear…

Cleaning the Ice Queen's dreams. Thought you saw the last of her, eh? Well Jack Frost is asking for anyone willing to go into her dreams to help clean it out and perhaps this time doing so will yield some results—and they will! We have sign-ups for this as those who participate will be able to get some interesting information on what happened to her and perhaps warnings of what still lurks out there.

Betcha didn't think I could make some kind of event out of dust bunnies did you— It's still low key, but we're dropping little nuggets and hooks to try and tie together things that were introduced in the past few months as well as to a certain thing we're still trying to get to. A mix of content that people can chill and have fun with, but with opportunities for those who may want to do a bit more.

There are two sign-up threads, and the deadline will be May 7th.

One last thing, everyone will receive one bauble! The costumes everyone received during the festival will also be wrapped in a box and waiting for them at the foot of their bed in the morning. How did it get there? Who knows.

DREAM BOARD

How the Dream Board works:

This is all optional, the quests are just extra content for players and while they can sometimes relate to upcoming or current events, they're just kind of "filler" stuff. Some will be set out in Songerein proper while others may involve dreams.
The Dream Board can be found at the Plaza and quests will automatically appear on it like a bulletin board. Some will also appear in the journals. Anyone can accept them and rewards automatically generated upon completion of the task. It's a dream world, it's full of magic, it just knows.
Quests can be done as many times as a character would do them and rewards will be delivered to the character upon completion.

501	Floral Follies. With spring in full swing, it appears that some people are waking up with leafy sprouts growing right out of their heads. These little plants appear out of nowhere and stick up right out of your skull! Either find a way to pluck them without that hurting too much or water them to see how beautiful and flowery they will grow! 502	Herbal Haven. Amidst the overgrown Wildlands, lies a treasure trove of mystical glowing herbs. Search the wilds and find this verdant sanctuary with all of its vibrant colors and intoxicating scents. Among the assortment of magical herbs, one stands out—a fiery, spicy plant whose mere presence sets the air ablaze with its extremely spicy aroma! What will happen if you eat it? Or if you try to cook with it? Collect as many herbs as you wish.	A basket of magical cooking herbs.
503	Shadow Furries. Strange round spots of black fuzz have been cropping up everywhere. They’re a lot like black dust balls or fuzzy clouds that float in the air and stick to everything. They don’t do anything but they like to eat sugar! We’re sure they’re somehow made of dreamotion but no matter what they’re made of they need to be cleaned up as soon as possible. Use those giant feather dusters and long-handled brooms and mops to get them all swept away.	A giant feather duster
504	The Frilliest Frill. A local is looking for the biggest, most frilliest dress that can ever be made. He’s looking for anyone to come to his little shop dressed in the frilliest maid dress to ever be frilly and to show off in a mini fashion show that he’s putting on outside his shop. He wants the frill to be so big that it will reach the heavens!! Show him what you got and strut your stuff without tripping over your own frilly poofy dresses.	A big frilly dress
505	Golden Standard. Pretty golden rings are growing from a peculiar tree nearby. If anyone grabs one of these rings they’ll have the uncanny ability to run very, very fast. Maybe even jump really, really high. Take a ring and test out just how fast you can run with it. Just don’t smack into anyone because you might really hurt them. 506	Dig Dug Dig. A ranch has recently finished training an array of chocobos to detect hidden treasures underground and how to dig them up. They’re now commissioning riders to come to test out the chocobo’s skills by taking them out to do a little treasure hunting. Pick a bird to your liking to ride and start prowling around to dig up any hidden treasure that might be hiding just under your nose. The birds are good at digging up anything from pretty coins and metals to people’s lost boots.	Hidden treasure
