Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. We have a handy dandy form so go forth, tell us about yourself and your characters, and start plotting! You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond! Continuing or using things from the recent TDM. Nightmares are abound this month and we have the mini event ahead, so definitely make any mention of those if you have something in mind.

Perhaps if Ferran tries hard enough and gets to a chance to invade a more personal dream, he will find out what the deal is.

That would honestly be hilarious- and also one hell of a way to introduce Reaper as boy does it contradict the fact they've been periodically beating each other up and then having Moments™ of relative peacefulness with some hurt/care. Instead just this man dressed like a grim reaper carrying a patch-up-to-best-of-ability and bloody 76 for help.

I'm very much looking forward to the bloody man on the doorstep. Checking for broken ribs is one thing, but having to mop up actual wounds and possibly even stitch things on a still-living person is something he hasn't done in many years. Time for a refresher course, ha ha!

Well, I was considering doing a public post about it if there's enough player interest for this sort of thing. Like he'd bring up the absence of laws and whether it'd be beneficial to create a basis for that sort of thing here, since there's a prospect of the town growing with more newcomers. And suggest a council, maybe.

Ooooh yes, it'd be great if Zelda worked in the clinic too. And Yujin would absolutely let her use the greenhouse. He'd be delighted it's of use to other people, really.

Also d'awww, Zelda on a political council. She'd have at least one father figure who would encourage her in her endeavors then, because due to some stuff that happened with his daughter in the past, he's now overcompensating by supporting Susato in everything she does. I can see him doing the same for Zelda if he ever notices she's second-guessing her abilities.

Doesn't help that one of the people dropping him off is dressed like a grim reaper in leather if Reaper bodily carries the man himself even after getting in touch with Kazuma over it. Mop up blood, take out stitching and re-stitch the work Reaper did to be able to keep him alive to be moved.

76 would probably know how to help make something like that work, even if he'd want no real part of it despite know how and the like. Surprise, the man was more than a soldier and an actual peacekeeping force leader? Be an interesting discussion for the two of them, honestly.

I feel like after the re-stitching, Yujin would want to not see 76 moved anymore. Like, just leave him in the living room overnight so he can be watched over properly. :')

Oh yeah, definitely an interesting discussion. I'll have to time out the public post for a moment where 76 is not, like, half-dead.

just popping into say we've been talking about it too and susato will definitely suggest he spend some time with them while he heals, to get him away from work/wild harvest too :T

also i don't know if it would be viable but susato answering that door would be hilarious lmfao

Please. This man needs to be kept still and actually rest, because at least at first he'll actually listen and not feel like moving once he's more aware of himself. Took a lot out of him etc.

Sorry about whatever him staying there may bring with Reaper as the man knows how stubborn 76 is and will help ensure he restsmaybe pile an ent-skull or more at his 'bedside'

This'll all be happening in the first bit of the month at least, vague timey-wimey, so hopefully time-wise will be easy for you!

Oh, interested to hear what comes of that! Tenn is hoping the culprit really was the Grinch, but he's not convinced. At some point while performing carols at the cabaret, Tenn noticed that part of the riddle in the journals was taken from a children's Christmas song about Santa, so now he's questioning. But those suspicions may be alleviated if Santa Claus appears during the event next week?

Hunter's in the perfect game then, since everybody gets random silly transformations and sometimes inconvenient impulses to go with it!

Tenn's been experimenting with manifesting parts of his Bakeneko Halloween costume at a time, for example, enhancing his sense of smell without fully activating the other feline attributes. When he finds out about Hunter's issue, he may be able to help. With the magic part if not the psychological part, alas... though if Hunter wants to be snapped out of going dog at inconvenient times, Tenn can help once he knows what to do? (He has experience looking after someone mentally unstable, so he's pretty good with handling lapses as long as he has a procedure to follow.)

Naminé | Kingdom Hearts

Character: Naminé | lethechained
Canon: Kingdom Hearts. Her canon point is right as she’s merging with Kairi at the end of KH2. CRAU from Vestige, a horror game.

About: Naminé is a sweet, reserved, practical girl with sad eyes and boatloads of patience - complete with a lot of mostly-internalized baggage to go along - who will hecking read you. She is canonically a Nobody, which means that she's what happens when a person with a strong will loses their metaphysical heart and the rest of them just sort of keeps on going out of sheer stubbornness. Due to the fact that she was born with a unique ability to enter, adjust, and create new memories, she spent her entire canon life either being incentivized by a shady organization to rewrite the memories of her game's protagonist in order to manipulate him or, later on, trying to make up for the same by putting his memories back.

After that, this version of Naminé spent a few months in a horror game called Vestige. Therein she found herself kidnapped by yet another shady organization and forced to live out her days in a murderbox full of monsters and other threats. She came straight off of all that with a healthy dose of skepticism about this whole dreamworld business and a deep-seated need for a vacation. (And a stable home life.) Since then, she's gotten pretty used to this whole dreamworld business and has started to accept that it might not be a trick. (She's still pretty scared she'll get sent back to the murderbox when she wakes up, though.)


Abilities: Canonically, Naminé is a powerful witch who can change the memories of others to the point of rewriting their personalities or, in the other extreme, crushing their hearts to render them non-functional. These abilities are poorly defined and apparently also allow her to alter information within written journals and computer data, and to change the appearance of objects (and possibly herself.) Additionally, she's able to create dark corridors that function as portals from one place to another.

For Songerein, some of this has gotten changed around, so the portals are no longer available to her and the memory powers evidently effect dreams instead. Because her basic skillset involves manipulating both minds and objects around her already, she's got a talent for this whole dream magic thing and has been making good use of it lately as she becomes accustomed to employing it.

At this point, she's been able to relearn Cure, Fire and Blizzard in somewhat altered states. Thunder would be next on the list assuming we're going with first-tier magic, but beyond that I would also like her to start getting into more defensive spells like Barrier or Stop. She's made an attempt at the latter, but isn't ready for it yet.

Aside from those types of things, I'd also like to explore more in the direction of her inborn abilities to alter objects/her own appearance, which may involve some shapeshifting or illusions. She's already started down this path to some extent during December.

Dreamwalker Form: Naminé doesn't yet have a regular Dreamwalking form, but per her innate ability to adjust the appearance of things and KH's tendency to tweak costumes based on worlds, I'm going with her outfit/look being heavily influenced by whatever setting she's entering, rather than a standardized form.

Plans: This month Naminé might help out with the dreamboard stuff a little bit, specifically with the yarn. (Please let her pet the scary cat, I beg of you.)

Long-term, Naminé has been informed about some of what happens in KH3 and is now in the process of figuring out how to deal with that/what that means for her. As a result she'll probably be more willing to explore social relationships and or new opportunities as she settles into the idea of being a Real Person.

Additionally, she's just now reached a point where circumstances forced her to stop taking as much of a back seat in combat situations. She's been practicing for quite a while, and now she's finally had cause to enter the fray a couple of times; from here on out she'll hopefully be doing more of the actual fighting herself, although there'll probably still be plenty of situations in which she'll be in need of assistance.

Longer long-term, I've had some ideas floating around for a very spooky Noctaere form of hers that would probably involve twisting people's memories and/or pitting people against each other. This would be very much up to individual players to use as they see fit, and probably wouldn't be for some time, but it'd be nice to know if anyone's interested in doing that kind of thing in the future.

This might also be a good month for a nightmare for her, but that might be dependent on my always-dense schedule.

CR Dreams: Listen. I'm gonna level with you, here - Naminé needs friends. She has always needed friends, she will always need friends, there is just. So much loneliness in this one small teenager, you have no idea. Any kind of CR is welcome, positive or negative; she's in need of life experience in general.

That being said, I'd specifically like for her to meet some other people her own age, especially ones that have very different life experiences from her own. (Or similar ones, so that they can commiserate.)

On the opposite side of the spectrum, she's very much in need of relationships with older, guardian-type characters who can provide her some positive experience with adults, since nearly all of the ones she's met during her canon have attempted to either use her or snuff her out entirely - in some cases both. She's done a good job surviving on her own, but the poor thing could use some actual caring and advice from someone older who can help look after her and teach her a few things about being a person.

As for what she can provide to others, Naminé is a very kind and compassionate individual and can handle even more difficult or aggressive personalities because of her sheer caring and general lack of a temper. She's patient and invested enough in other people's troubles that she serves as good starting CR for characters that struggle to integrate fully into the setting or don't get along well with others. If they need a therapist, she's their girl, pretty much. For more stable characters, she also makes a good tiny friend to drag along on their adventures and just generally vent their troubles to, and if they're looking for someone to protect, she serves that purpose effectively as well.

Following some of her recent experiences, Naminé's developed something of an interest in music and dancing; she's not very experienced with either but will be curious about any musical types she comes across. Other artists are very welcome too, since she really needs more artist buddies to draw with.

She has also already begun the process of helping others learn to do more with Dreamotion energy, and will likely be prone to tutoring anyone she comes across who seems to be having trouble.

Etc.: Given my typical workload, it's pretty hard for me to keep track of what recent posts are out there, so if you want CR with Naminé but I haven't been able to send her your way up 'til now, please let me know directly if you want her somewhere specific/thrown at one of your TLs. If I haven't started anything with you, it's not because I'm not interested, it's because I'm buried under RL. :'c

Tenn has recently connected with Jude on the Anti-Noctaere research, and I'd like for him to trade notes with Zelda at some point, too! He's approaching things from two angles: 1) Using dreamotion to keep spirits up/healing things around him as a preventative measure, and 2) Recreating a potion that will be effective against Erasers, perhaps even if they have Noctaere attributes.

Tenn is working at the apothecary on the latter project, and often nurtures herbs he finds growing, so they will probably run into each other at some point? Also, he may make an announcement about the progress in his research later, but I’m waiting to see what happens in his current threads and during the event this month.

This CR is charming so far, and I'm looking forward to continuing it! Not sure yet if I'm top-leveling for the event, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for Naminé in the future.

It's easy enough to startle Hunter out of it, but if the TDM is anything to go by logic bombs may work too.

I am looking forward for more CR with Yujin and Otto very much. Don’t worry, Otto: Anya has a lot of patience before she gets into snark mode when she is pushed to her limits.

I was unfortunately too busy in Dec to tag into Eustace's log, but! I was curious how the fairy dog candy-flowers turned out? Tenn definitely would've followed up with it, especially to ask if there are any special conditions for whether the flowers turn to crystals or edible candies?

We can always handwave that Eustace sent him some! So to answer the question, I'M KEEPING IT SIMPLE LOL and just have it where that when the flowers fall off, they can remain fresh and then can be dried or pressed however to be used. But if the dogs are in a good mood or just will it to be, the flowers can turn into candies instead. The pups create a more gummy like candy but the mom can create rock crystal candies.

The better their mood, the sweeter the taste! And the worse their mood, the bitter it is.

Susato is so cute 😭 Please, I want these two to be friends so bad, and even better that she's got some knowledge in martial arts AND fire magic!! Tifa's not great at hers, so maybe they'll be able to learn a thing or two from each other!

Colour Tifa surprised for sure that he's into cooking, but she needs more chef friends around to help spread the love of food through Reverein!!! She'd love to try his homemade food sometime too. But I love the idea of them coming up with some recipes together and trying them out, and then miserably failing so they can try again.

But I'm really enjoying their thread as well, so definitely going to be looking forward to what else they can get up to! 👀
