✵ CR MEME: JANUARY 2022 ✵

Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. We have a handy dandy form so go forth, tell us about yourself and your characters, and start plotting! You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond! Continuing or using things from the recent TDM. Nightmares are abound this month and we have the mini event ahead, so definitely make any mention of those if you have something in mind.

If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

Yujin Mikotoba | The Great Ace Attorney

Character: Yujin Mikotoba | professorbestie
Canon: The Great Ace Attorney, post-game

About: Susato Mikotoba's dad and also adoptive dad to that troublemaker- I mean that whippersnapper- I mean Kazuma Asogi. Handsome widower who is calm, composed and more than he seems. Knows an awful lot about dead bodies, since he's a professor in forensics. Comes across as stern at first glance, but is actually very kind and amicable. Always up for a good laugh. Abilities: He has no canon abilities aside from a fighting technique that was supposedly passed down in the family. I don't quite know yet what sort of abilities he'll develop later on, am open to suggestions!
Dreamwalker Form: Just his usual self, with at most a difference in the outfit he's wearing.

Plans:
- Firstly, he'll be working with Jude Mathis to set up a clinic. While Jude will be handling the more 'magical' kinds of healing techniques, Yujin's the oldskool medical expert who would hypothetically perform surgery if it's ever needed. (Eh, 76?)
- Secondly, this is more of a group thing so I'd like to hear some other opinions on this: Reverein doesn't have any law-enforcement people, nor even written laws. So I was wondering if it'd be cool if Yujin suggests setting up a sort of... council of representatives to establish these laws and then recruit fighter characters who would like to help enforce these laws if necessary. What do you think? Is that anything?

CR Dreams: He's very good with kids and canonically just kinda takes in any stray kids to come his way, so if he ends up adopting anyone that would be sweet! But also he can chill with adults since he has lots of life experience and can roll with the punches. He doesn't take offense too easily, which might be good for the more abbrasive/blunt characters.

I've really been enjoying their talks and developing CR, even with at times it seeming to be strictly on a sort of 'business' atmosphere 76 has been relaxing a bit, negl.

Also sorry-not-sorry about a bloody man to eventually be dropped on a doorstep at some point here.

Also if Yujin brought up the subject anywhere public, or the old soldier caught wind of it any other way, 76 does know a thing or two about councils and laws and- well he played the political game of being the head of a government funded group who helped keep the peace around the world for over twenty-some years. He'd have Thoughts and probably some warnings on what to look out for- if that'd be an interesting little thing to bat around.

I'm very much looking forward to the bloody man on the doorstep. Checking for broken ribs is one thing, but having to mop up actual wounds and possibly even stitch things on a still-living person is something he hasn't done in many years. Time for a refresher course, ha ha!

Well, I was considering doing a public post about it if there's enough player interest for this sort of thing. Like he'd bring up the absence of laws and whether it'd be beneficial to create a basis for that sort of thing here, since there's a prospect of the town growing with more newcomers. And suggest a council, maybe.

Doesn't help that one of the people dropping him off is dressed like a grim reaper in leather if Reaper bodily carries the man himself even after getting in touch with Kazuma over it. Mop up blood, take out stitching and re-stitch the work Reaper did to be able to keep him alive to be moved.

76 would probably know how to help make something like that work, even if he'd want no real part of it despite know how and the like. Surprise, the man was more than a soldier and an actual peacekeeping force leader? Be an interesting discussion for the two of them, honestly.

I feel like after the re-stitching, Yujin would want to not see 76 moved anymore. Like, just leave him in the living room overnight so he can be watched over properly. :')

Oh yeah, definitely an interesting discussion. I'll have to time out the public post for a moment where 76 is not, like, half-dead.

just popping into say we've been talking about it too and susato will definitely suggest he spend some time with them while he heals, to get him away from work/wild harvest too :T

also i don't know if it would be viable but susato answering that door would be hilarious lmfao

Please. This man needs to be kept still and actually rest, because at least at first he'll actually listen and not feel like moving once he's more aware of himself. Took a lot out of him etc.

Sorry about whatever him staying there may bring with Reaper as the man knows how stubborn 76 is and will help ensure he restsmaybe pile an ent-skull or more at his 'bedside'

This'll all be happening in the first bit of the month at least, vague timey-wimey, so hopefully time-wise will be easy for you!

Okay good, so awkward slumber party in the Mikotoba house is a go! With Yujin, Reaper and Susato all keeping watch, 76 will definitely be forced to rest a while longer.

Hmhmmmm, I see! I'll keep that in mind.

He needs it, honestly- even if Reaper comes back from an outting with a bunch of skulls because... murder hobo reapening of rage.

Trying to make it as convenient as possible for stuff the rest of the month.

Since Zelda is also starting to work with Jude on his anti-Noctaere research, I think it's inevitable that Zelda and Yujin are going to cross paths somewhere around there. Since she's pretty good with botany and related things like herbalism/chemistry, I think she could be a helpful addition to the forthcoming clinic.

I also like what we discussed on Plurk the other day about Yujin's greenhouse. And I got to thinking, is it plausible that he might offer to share that space with Zelda and let her grow some of her plants there? That could be a good opportunity for continuing CR.

Also, Zelda would probably get involved in discussing a council, laws, and a peacekeeping corps. It's not an area where she has a lot of confidence, but she's well educated in the subject as her kingdom's crown princess. She would be keen to bring up the need for representation not only from the dreamwalkers, but the faeries and other native inhabitants of Reverein.

Ooooh yes, it'd be great if Zelda worked in the clinic too. And Yujin would absolutely let her use the greenhouse. He'd be delighted it's of use to other people, really.

Also d'awww, Zelda on a political council. She'd have at least one father figure who would encourage her in her endeavors then, because due to some stuff that happened with his daughter in the past, he's now overcompensating by supporting Susato in everything she does. I can see him doing the same for Zelda if he ever notices she's second-guessing her abilities.

Have you decided whether or not you're going to do an open log with Yujin this month? Or we could do a closed thing with this greenhouse idea. I think it'd be a good setting for a first meeting, since it sounds like the clinic isn't up and running just yet.

UwwwU he's so sweet! Zelda needs all the encouragement she can get when it comes to stuff outside science. I think she'd be a good fit for a council, although she'd be ICly hesitant to do more than contribute suggestions. Keep me in the loop for whenever you decide to do anything with that.

Gosh, I really need to decide on that. But part of me is waiting for the mini event details, to see if there's anything in there I can also use for an open log. And if not, there's always his Inbox post!
