✵ CR MEME: JANUARY 2022 ✵

Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. We have a handy dandy form so go forth, tell us about yourself and your characters, and start plotting! You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond! Continuing or using things from the recent TDM. Nightmares are abound this month and we have the mini event ahead, so definitely make any mention of those if you have something in mind.

If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

About: Briefly tell about the character. Can include background info or just stick with personality traits—whatever will be most useful to help other players learn about them!

Abilities: Include both canon and whatever kind of abilities you're thinking about developing with them, especially when dreamwalking!
Dreamwalker Form: Does the character have a cool, unique form when dreamwalking or do they look like themselves? Do you change it up depending on the dream?

Plans: Any ideas or plans you'd like to do with your character? This could be short term, such as what items from the Dream Board or TDM, or long term.

CR Dreams: What kind of CR do you wish to have? Include what you can offer with your character as well.

Etc.: Anything else or, you know, the usual memes.

Oooh, I like that! Zelda would be much more keen to go the potion route than dreamotion. She's not very good at the latter and doesn't really enjoy practicing it lmao. I'm currently looking for Zelda to start growing her plants in Yujin's new greenhouse and eventually the communal garden when the weather improves. But as she gets invested in this project, she'll likely be around the apothecary and Wild Harvest to learn more about their plants. I think eventually she's going to want to make an encyclopedia of Songerein's unique plants.

Is Tenn a CRAU from FT? You mentioned he's recreating a potion to use against the Erasers. What's the story behind that?

Nope, he's a regular OU; this potion plot is the result of investigating his clue from the Halloween Event Part II, and his conversations with the FT CRAU characters. (And Tenn is really into herbal teas and remedies from his canon.) For this project, he’ll mostly be relying on plants grown in Halloween Haven. But outside of that, he’s very curious about what might be growing around the town and forest that he doesn’t recognize, so he’d be interested to see others’ survey notes and documentation on that!

Since we're both still tagging on Jude's quest and you're on hiatus, I was thinking connecting later might be easier? It occurred to me that I don't want to get overwhelmed while the characters are getting new info in backtags.

Ahh, I gotcha! Zelda isn't presently deeply involved with what's going on with the Story Eater and the Erasers, but she's familiar with it from inquiries she made about CRAU characters when the game first opened. She'll be very keen to learn about what Tenn has been working on though.

Yes, a later connection would be ideal! Waiting for our respective Jude threads to wind down is a good plan. My hiatus is a tentative one and I've been on track to meet AC, but I'm also about to travel out of state so that'll probably disrupt my tagging rhythm. Could you link me to Tenn's thread with Jude? I'm interested in what they're discussing compared to Zelda and Jude.

peers in here i am sorry for the hijack but hopefully this is okay! As another resident in backtagland I feel like I've got enough on my hands to duck out this CR meme, but since we're quite literally all in this together and will definitely keep intersecting--

yes Zelda and Tenn BE FRIENDS and research buddies!! I'm going to say Jude talked to Zelda before Tenn in the ambiguous holiday hell December timeline even if the thread with Tenn started first, since Tenn's mention of plants and potion found in the Baba Yaga's hut was basically the perfect plug for Jude to bring Zelda up to him. Please let me know if either of you two have any issue with this/if there's anything I can do to make linking up simpler in the future? Happy to tweak anything to facilitate mutual CR/plot involvement/move along IC interests! o7

It looks like Tenn will be getting what he needs to advance the anti-Eraser project soon (in another plotty thread), so I'll wrap up that plot point before he dives into the anti-Noctaere research. (To keep things manageable, and also because I'm curious what they'll find out from the Santa visit.) I'm not ready to plan anything yet, but I'll keep that offer in mind for once we're out of backtagland!

It’s in the Secret Santa thread, and has mostly been a report of the Halloween dreamshift so far. Jude has just pointed him to Zelda, so Tenn knows to be on the look out for her now.

It appears that Tenn will be acquiring the anti-Eraser recipe through other means soon, so I’m good on that front! I should wrap up that plot point before I move onto another; he'll be looking into the anti-Noctaere treatment research more after that.
