✵ CR MEME: JANUARY 2022 ✵

Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. We have a handy dandy form so go forth, tell us about yourself and your characters, and start plotting! You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond! Continuing or using things from the recent TDM. Nightmares are abound this month and we have the mini event ahead, so definitely make any mention of those if you have something in mind.

If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

Character: Character | Journal
Canon: Include canon point

About: Briefly tell about the character. Can include background info or just stick with personality traits—whatever will be most useful to help other players learn about them!

Abilities: Include both canon and whatever kind of abilities you're thinking about developing with them, especially when dreamwalking!
Dreamwalker Form: Does the character have a cool, unique form when dreamwalking or do they look like themselves? Do you change it up depending on the dream?

Plans: Any ideas or plans you'd like to do with your character? This could be short term, such as what items from the Dream Board or TDM, or long term.

CR Dreams: What kind of CR do you wish to have? Include what you can offer with your character as well.

Etc.: Anything else or, you know, the usual memes.

oh, you're welcome! LOL it's okay, personally i just tend to wing it a lot and see where the cookies crumble, but it's nice to have some ideas of where to jump start, even if they're vague. sadly i dooon't believe the clinic is up and running yet, but there might be a log to get it up soon (?). i do agree though, i tend to struggle with personal dream posts as first meetings, even for someone as nosy as susato...

this month i seem to be focused more on backtags (i do need more new threads...), but susato did start work at her adoptive brother's pub that he just opened, and i have an open top level here from just after new years'. i don't know if you'd want zelda to check that out, as i'm still undecided whether i'm going to top level in the coming event log--icly she will be very busy as they just temporarily lost their only other cook for plot reasons, so she'll be on her own in the kitchen for a bit.

actually -- i did plan to have susato gather some get-well flowers to make a bouquet. i wasn't sure if there was an icly a flower shop in the market, but maybe if zelda's into flowers, she could give her some pointers? i wanted to have the flowers to have some significance--like good health/good luck/fortune, that kind of thing, but i really wasn't sure off hand what types of flowers were growing in reverein besides the glowing dawn ones. i was just going to handwave it, but i would be down to thread something like that out if that sounds like something you'd be interested in :o

Oh, a flowers thread would be really fun!! Zelda is frequently out and about, exploring and researching the local plants and animals. She usually stays fairly close to Reverein when she's on her own. Susato could easily run into her while gathering flowers. I've been collecting lots of cool looking flowers on my Pinterest board specifically for Songerein things and I also figure that Zelda knows a lot about the language of flowers too. This is the kind of thing where Zelda's at her best and really shines.

awesome!! :D so i'm gonna give it a day or two for the plot to play out and see where i fall, but if you'd be okay with it, i can start us a closed log for that?

do you think night time works for zelda? she would probably have to gather the flowers after work, and give it to him when she gets home, since that's where he's recovering. i have to take another look at the setting but flowers around the lake come to mind, if it's not explicitly stated to be too far from town.

Nighttime/evening will work fine for Zelda. She would definitely plan a time to research any night-blooming plants. I checked the world directory page and the lake is listed as being "not far" into the southern forests of the Wildlands, so that's close enough for me. :)

so i actually started working on the starter tonight, GOT INTO A GROOVE AND EVERYTHING AND like 3/4ths of the way through it i remembered it's winter. LMAO i think we can still make it work, but yikes, i almost forgot.

are there any cool winter flowers that you might have saved that could mean anything significant, or at least looks nice for a get-well bouquet? if not, no worries, i'll just hit up ye old google.

LOL WHOOPS I forgot about that too.

I don't really know off hand any flowers that work, but you could Google flowers that bloom in winter/January and then look up their meanings if you see any you like. I love A to Z Flowers because they a page where you can browse by meanings and symbolism. Gardening Channel has a straight up list if you want something you can skim quickly (although it has no pictures).

Or you could play fast and loose with the whole dream world concept and come up with some winter-blooming variants of flowers you like. I spend a lot of time trolling around Pinterest and pinning neat flowers. I can always toss flowers into the thread ICly as we go along for Zelda to point out.
