Welcome to Songerein's Plot With Me Meme! It's an abbreviated version of the CR Meme where the main focus is figuring what you want to do for the month, such as listing out which quests you're interested, any personal plots you have in mind, and initial thoughts on the event (event will have its own plotting section as always). It's similar to a CR Meme, with just a little different focus on the form. You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond!

About: Princess of the fantasy kingdom of Hyrule. She grew up with the knowledge that she had to awaken her dormant magic powers to protect her kingdom from destruction, but she failed and everyone died. She's an aspiring scientist who especially likes technology and botany, and all she really wants to do is explore and research. She's also very outdoorsy. On the negative side, Zelda is riddled with anxiety and self doubt from years of trying to awaken her magic and save the world.

Plans: I'm pretty light on ideas at the moment.

I don't have any plans for Zelda to be afflicted by a bleeding heart (though she has plenty of feelings that would attract one), but I'd be interested in her trying (and probably not entirely succeeding) to help someone afflicted, particularly if we have existing CR.

Zelda will definitely involve herself with the witch's brew apothecary quest. This is right up her alley. Let's do science together!!

I also wanna do the rock candy quest. Would anyone like to receive questionably tasty candy feom Zelda?

I'm currently thinking I'm going to be doing an open log soon, most likely with a few of these prompts. I can also write a specific starter for Anya if you would prefer?

I'm always saying science! What sort of shenanigans is Luca getting into this month? I haven't yet perused anyone's comments on this meme yet.

Well, I was going to have him have a weird dream. Then he's going to have romeo and juliet adventures...

I do enjoy his dreams! I will definitely keep on the lookout for that.

And I have not! That being said, now that we have the event plotting up it looks like the Benvolio sidequest is more his style.

I can see that. And from Lae's comment with Rokuro, it seems like more than just Romeos can potentially be Lindworms/partial lindworms? (I've only managed to read the first half of that massive text dump so far XD) So maybe Luca can still have a transformation, as a treat.

I'm sorry I took away science frog. D: Maybe these two can meet up again? He doesn't do science, but he would probably be entertained by watching her just geek out.

Depending on how things go moving forward, I might try and bring back Azmuth in the next couple of months. I just got swamped, no pun intended, and he's always been less sociable.

Zelda is bummed that her grumpy tiny mentor is gone, but she will make do. Did Azmuth leave behind anything he was working on? Perhaps Zelda could try to pick up where he left off on something.

But as far as Alastor, I would love for him and Zelda to meet again! He absolutely needs a blonde princess in his life to pester. TBH I think Zelda is convinced he was actually a figment of Asura's dreamscape way back when, and the two of them also have a lot of overlapping CR with the demon brothers.

If Zelda would like to go searching around Azmuth's old home/lab, he'd rather you be doing the raiding than someone who'd just ransack the place for what's most valuable. (MAMMON.) He did leave behind basic notes on his study of the power crystals. I made a few IC posts on

dreamcrystals which she can use as the basis of his observations and what-not.

Again, I hope to bring him back in the next few months. If Azmuth does come back, he'd love to see Zelda's progress.

As for Alastor, yes, he does need to pester her. Because he is absolutely a real thing, and it makes me giggle for longer than five seconds at the idea of her thinking he's just a dream illusion and then there he is grinning at her in Reverein.

Don't worry, Zelda will rescue as much of Azmuth's stuff as she can. At least certain hoarders won't be interested in his research notes. (Is his home/lab big enough for her to get into?) I will have to go back through Azmuth's posts and think about how Zelda would continue his research because this sounds like a fun angle to explore. And if you ultimately decide to bring him back, then all the better!

...NGL That kinda gives me the idea of her mistaking Alastor for a noctaere 🤔 She's getting involved in anti-noctaere research with the goal of developing potions/medicine that could be used against them.

Not sure what Gmail did with this response, but finally getting back to it regardless.

But, yes, Azmuth's home/lab is big enough for her to get into. Even in canon given he has had human-scaled assistants, Azmuth's lab tends to have plenty of room for them to move freely around and work with equipment. So feel free to have her poke around!

And that would be so ironic if she initially mistook him for a noctaere. Particularly since one of my eventual plans is for him to actually go full noctaere. I was gonna hit up your open log with the apothecary prompt so if she attacks him, he'll more or less dance around her and just be so very entertained but at least it'll give her a look of some of what he can do before he goes full Scary Ass Noctaere Demon Mode.

This is more to check base with you with stuff we've been doing, are you okay with saying Zelda spent more time looking into the Glowing Dawn through Jan and maybe manages to coin down the most effective medicinal component in it? We could have them finalize the method in refining/making an ointment effective at treating Noctaere wounds in particular, i.e. the sensation of burning and drain that usually come with it if people get injured fighting them. Could also handwave their continued and sustained effort in trying to make different medicine with the flower in general, which should still be good even after Reaper burns the cave down as some are now grown closer to the village/in Yujin's greenhouse, which should be IC information to them both sooner or later?

WELL I had been thinking to suggest Jude and Zelda travel to the cave to get samples, but lmao if it's been burned down then NEVERMIND

I don't mind handwaving a bunch of her preliminary research on the Glowing Dawn. (Saves me time having to actually research how botany works lmao.) Are you thinking we could do a thread of Zelda and Jude working on an ointment? Or something in that ballpark?

We can probably handwave a trip or two between mid Dec to mid Jan? 76 would've been fine with it, and Jude ICly finds out about the burned cave late Jan. They do still have samples at the greenhouse on top of what they keep personally, so it wouldn't halt what research they have going on.

Sorry for taking a while to get back at you! I finally got out the clinic announcement post I've been sitting on for far too long, one of the things not covered but Jude would've discussed with Yujin (and probably Zelda and Tenn too, later on) is to make one of the upper floors into a plant research/medicine making lab. I'm not sure how well working on the ointment would thread out in practice myself, other than us furiously googling for stuff we probably don't have much experience with aha... So maybe talking about how to set up a proper workplace they can cooperate in would be easier? I'm definitely down for Nerd Things, just may want to figure out what's a little simpler to write for?

Sure, handwaving a couple of trips to collect samples works fine for me! I asked Leo when the cave was burned, and they said around early-mid January. Zelda has most likely been doing most of her research in her own home and sharing her findings periodically with Jude.

I saw that an announcement about the clinic just went up! Congratulations 🎉 I love this idea if making the second floor of the clinic a lab/pharmacy kind of space. It'd give use a great space to thread sciencey things and handwave over the detailed science part. Zelda would be over the moon to have such a space to work in. Her treehouse just isn't big enough for all the science she wants to do.

That's enough breather room for at least one trip, so it should be good and safe to mark it down as "Thing That Happened" o/

Iiii admittedly wanted to get it out before we all get caught up threading the Feb event OOCly pft, but yes glad to have that finally done, thanks! We could have them bounce the idea and finalize it then, and spend the rest of this month setting up the second floor for a lab/pharmacy? The event log goes up later today but is forward dated to late Feb, so it should give us enough time and wriggle room to work on that. We could thread or handwave any part of the process (from discussion to setup), I'm good with either. The roadmap is great to have in any case, happy to know it works for you too!

I haven't had a chance to do more than a quick skim of the entry, but Zelda will definitely hone in on whatever Jude said about research and medicine development. So yeah, I think we'll easily be able to get them to come up with the idea of a lab/pharmacy on the second floor in that forthcoming thread.

Considering that we've both signed up for Romeo and Juliet, I think we're gonna end up having our hands too full to do second thread of actually setting up the lab before the dreamshift. So I guess we can either handwave it or have them come back to it in March after their respective romantic rollercoaster rides.
