CR MEME: MARCH 2024 Welcome to Songerein's CR Meme! A place where players can dump info on their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. We have a handy dandy form so go forth, tell us about yourself and your characters, and start plotting! You can refer to the Mod Announcement for plotting ideas for the month and beyond! Continuing or using things from the recent TDM.

Abilities: Another CR meme, another update!

Six months in, and Joshua is about 90% at his regular magic capacity (fire spells, healing, and barriers). He’s doing well with fatigue, too.

His sword work is slowly moving along. He can hold his own now, but he also hasn’t really used his sword in a ‘real’ fight yet

He’s semi-primed for a second time (albeit in a dream environment) and it went better than the first. Now that he’s comfortable with using the dreamotion version of his regular magic, he wants to chip away at mastering semi-priming.

PLANS
General:

Short term:

His family has arrived!!! Joshua will be spending a lot of time with Clive and Jill and introducing them to all of the cool people he’s met here at Song and also helping them get acclimated.

Speaking of, he will likely be occupied with some cute/fun plans going on next month involving them, as well.

He’s been working on training his chocobo who should be big enough to ride in a couple of months.

Anyone who interacted with him during the fairytale event, feel free to keep however much you want from those threads.

On a player note, I’m hoping to wrap up the fairytale event threads by mid-March! Anyone who’s cool with handwaving stuff, please let me know :>

Long term:

Joshua is interested in the going-ons of Orkili and the nostilium related events (that one powerful noctaere that has been causing problems is quickly becoming his personal white whale)

Related to the above, he’s finally receiving treatment for the symptoms of his accidental noctaere snacking, but it’s slow. He’s stabilized for now, but this will likely change in the future.

He’s been compiling his notes into a journal/book. He has a lot of personal thoughts in there that he’ll be editing before he shares them. He’ll be working with Hiyori on this project as well as a project chronicling the monthly events in Song.

Because he’s been traveling between Reverein and Orkili so often, I’m hoping to get him settled as a potential ambassador figure (it’s mostly a thought I’ve played around with on and off that needs some fleshing out).

Event:

These are all very tentative plans! Depending on what’s going on in general, I may not have Joshua participating too much (if at all) in the event.

If I have Joshua get thrown into the mirror world, chances are good that his past fragment will be him as a kid. Because those icons need to be put to more use!

Super intrigued by the night-covered city in the mirrors ngl 👀

CR Dreams:
Thank you so much to everyone who’s interacted with Joshua! My CR dreams have been coming true left and right. I guess the main thing I can ask for is “MORE!!!” (for now).

As for what Josh can offer, even though his big brother has arrived, he’s still open to being a big bro himself to others. Whether it be as a mentor, confidant, research buddy, etc. If you need a character for your character to nerd out with, he’s your guy.

He’s also a professional prince who hasn’t lost his courtly manners, if you’re looking for some fun shenanigans there!

Etc.:

Naoya: Will be interested in family, also wants to talk to Joshua about the Phoenix Thing. And also his mother. In return if Josh ends up in mirrorverse he's welcome to stumble into Naoya's twisted memories, I'll try to have a variety.

Ryu: Absolutely needs to meet the family! And give Torgal many pets. He's also working on compiling his thoughts and memories into a journal! It would be cute to have Joshua help edit it... also they need to spar.

Tobias: Will be pretending that shit was just a dream you don't know about him ahahaha - no but he'll admit a little bit if he's asked. But not everything, and he's not going to tell anyone why he can talk. :X

For Naoya! I'm really looking forward to the two of them talking about the aftermath of the fairytale event! There's a lot to cover that wouldn't be talked about otherwise (including the memory in the jar). Depending on how involved I get in mirrorverse stuff, I'm totally down for Josh to see Naoya's memories. I just have to see if I go through with it :>

For Ryu, YES having Josh edit Ryu's journal would be SO CUTE. Also family shenanigans! Josh may ask Ryu to spar so he can practice semi-priming as well, tho if that's too much for this month, we can totally move it to next.

And then Tobias......... oh this sweet bird baby, let the Rosfield-Warrick family adopt you.
