ACTIVITY CHECK: MAY 2024

It's time for the monthly Activity Check!

Please refer to the Activity Check section in our Game Info page for complete details, but here is the quick list of what you need to know:

• Only threads dated from May 1st through May 31st will count. (Exception: certain backdated threads, TDM threads, read the sections for more details.)
  
  
• You must provide one thread of at least 5 comments each. The comment count is from your character.
  
  
• Any thread counts, including those made within your own entries and subthreads within your own toplevels. Individual entry posts do not count.
  
  
• Continuation threads are considered as part of the previous thread so they count as one thread not two. Please link both separately so we don't get confused.
  
  
• Backdated threads can be counted so long as they 1) start in the previous month, 2) the majority of the comments are in the current AC month, and 3) were not used for the previous month.
  
  
• You are exempt from any checks for hiatuses that last for over 21 days. Anything less and you'll still need to submit your AC unless there are other circumstances.
  
  
• As a reminder to those who received a special free AC pass back in December 2022. If you plan to use it, unless there is an extreme personal emergency, we will not allow a hiatus exemption before or after the month of using the pass. This is so we don't get a weird case of { Hiatus > Free Pass } or { Free Pass > Hiatus } or { Hiatus > Free Pass > Hiatus } scenarios as that would effectively allow a player to skip two to three ACs in a row and we do not want that.

• Because we are a capped game, there is no strike system. If you do not make the AC requirements, you will be cut.

There will be no warnings. All submissions are due Friday, May 31st 11:59PM US Central.

BONUS INQUIRIES

This is not required and completely optional, but included in the AC submission form is a field to allow players to note any special incidents, encounters, or discoveries that occurred in their threads. So if a character found some creature or a location, you are welcome to include it so we can add it to the setting. You are also free to comment for other submissions on the World Directory.

You can also make quest requests to be included in the upcoming Dream Boards. If possible we'll add them immediately, otherwise we'll save them for the next Board. If you don't have one in mind, you can post it later to the upcoming Mod Announcement.

Extra Note: Fliowey had chased the nightmare bunnies through the dreamscape, solving some puzzles along the way. He eventully reached an "end of the road", which he may discuss next month.
Quest Request: You don't have to put this up if you don't want to, but Flowey's been thinking about wanting to trap a Noctaere inside of him to try and have others be able to hold a conversation with them. Only problem is that the Noctaere would 99.9% take him over and go on a rampage, so Flowey is looking for ideas from others to safely NOT have the Noctaere take over and do a rampage.

The Specials Menu for <b>June</b> is; <a href="https://thedinner.app/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Banh-Mi_Header.jpg">Bánh mì</a>- A fresh baked baguette with thin crispy crust and air insides sliced, filled with your choice of seasoned and grilled/steamed protein(s). Also filled with pickled carrot, daikon, and sliced cucumber. Crisp cilantro and chilis add a little extra flavor. Comes with a mayo/soy sauce mixture. <a href="https://64.media.tumblr.com/0008a9b62c0e4f2167e3ee0e09a884b5/ee2ddefc10a90885-5f/s1280x1920/b2a4c07fc661963a706326cf57fb9070ada1e938.jpg">Pork Adobo</a>- Braised in a mixture of vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and onions this succulent pork belly can be a meal all on it's own. Comes served over rice. <a href="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fh7tmwLacAArESn.jpg">Raspberry Soda Float</a>- Refreshing raspberry soda colored with syrups to range between blue and purple, topped with a choice of either vanilla or pineapple ice cream. Both flavors made in-house and add a nice creaminess that can help cool off a hot day. <a href="https://www.thebottleclub.com/cdn/shop/articles/TBC_recipe_image_15_496a79e4-7018-4747-8da0-7b41fe5e5b9b-738128_2048x.jpg">Blue Raspberry Martini</a>- A bright blue cocktail that uses raspberry vodka, blue curaçao, and fresh pineapple juice to make it refreshing. Garnished with a bit of lemon peel for zest and a maraschino cherry. <a href="https://64.media.tumblr.com/42608da5bdc8b345d45522b5ed7e16ad/tumblr_pmib1n53tD1sn5m44o1_1280.jpg">Blueberry Fudge</a>- A sweet and creamy fudge with delicious blueberry taste. Pleasantly firm to bite into and practically melts in the mouth. Topped with whole blueberries and white chocolate drizzle. <a href="https://64.media.tumblr.com/f957fa56dad984e85ee4ff8d0f0c2d21/tumblr_p0j5gppUds1sn5m44o1_640.jpg">Peach Cookies</a>- Cute peach-shaped cookies coated in a light dusting of peach flavored sugar and a peach compote filling with a little bit of cream for those who are a fan of peaches and cream. Crisp and buttery cookies are a delight to bite into or pull apart to enjoy. The mint leaf added for decoration is edible. With the pleasant weather, and all of the blooms and green growth within the Wild Harvest's greenhouse, more outdoor seating within the space has been arranged for those who want to enjoy that fresh air and breeze that comes through the opened window panels. A few bright blue honey bees can be spotted as well- some your average size and others more the size of kittens/puppies as they move along flowers; don't worry, they are friendly- and very fluffy. At any entrance some may notice <a href="https://i.pinimg.com/736x/b7/cd/8d/b7cd8d01b050cec1b25c82ec8c54dde2.jpg"> a sign</a> hanging very visibly<s>along with some handwritten additions that could only be Reaper that sound a little unhinged the further they're read into</s>. Still, as people do come and go, there's need for new full or part time workers at the Harvest. Hopefully your interview is with old man 76 instead of the looming Reaper. Extra Note: Barok cleaned up considerably around the market district (read: his bar), and Ferran helped to cleanse the nightmare plant remnants outside of town.

Once Ferran heard the Ice Queen still hadn't recovered, he decided to head out to figure out what might be done, if just to try to prevent further icy nightmarish problems for Reverein in the future. Once in the dream, he would have been more combative about fairies forcing him into cleaning duties, but his own bunny-related fatigue this month got him to play along earlier. Either way, he didn't hesitate when the shadowy figure appeared before the ice queen to attack her, and fought it off after it transformed into a clawed grinning shadow. After they both left the dream, Ferran had a conversation with the Ice Queen to clarify some things, which he'll discuss next month. (I have a couple questions about that I'll send soon!)

Extra Notes:

Joshua went on an excursion with Eustace and Clive to get rid of a large noctaere that's been causing problems for Orkili (thread ongoing). Some planned incidents include:


• A potential connection between the noctaere and the tunnel that "called" Joshua during his first excursion in the crystal caves with Ryu (they're even worse now).


• Joshua absorbing some of the noctaere/its nostilium because of course (but thankfully not as much as it could've been thanks to Eustace's flowers)


• He's very sorry, Tifa

Joshua and Kazuya have entered a not-contract where Joshua 'feeds' him some of his negative energy, which will help keep Kazuya's energy up while also lightening Joshua's nostilium load. There's no way this will end poorly.
